ok well i have a new 11.3 inch screen for the lx which i have attacked to the dash with quick release for running a dvd player, gps, and possibly some obd stuff as well. i need to power the screen, dvd player, and maybe something else if need be so im thinking one of the costco inverters will do since my last one was stolen from the truck along with everything else. My main delemma from before was where to mount it that woull alow me to have access to it yet hide it from site? i was hoping to run it under the passenger front seat but theres no rimm under either front seats? had any one hard mounted theres? int he cab where im describing?
sorry for the spelling im a little drunk still

cheers
mike

MIght fit if you remove the rear seat heater under the passenger seat?

i read all that along with a few other posts however non of those mention a spacific place to mount on in the cab. that simply talks about the rear of the truck or in the engine compartment.

thanks
mike

How big...rather how small will the inverter be? The size of the one you choose will largely dictate where you can hide the thing. The other question is how far away do you want the inverter from your stuff; i.e. what you're powering?

Do you want it in the rear cargo area? If so, you could mount it behind the passenger side plastic panel. Is that too far away from your stuff? Maybe too much of a pain to get to?

There's a spot sort of behind the dash, on the transmission hump. I mounted the remote antenna mount for my CB there -- depending on the size of your inverter, you could stuff it in there.

Not enough room there? How about in the center console? Empty out all the stuff you have in there and mount it in there (depending on the size of your inverter, of course).

How about on the outside of the center console? Near the bottom on the passenger side, there might be some room there...

Those are some placed I'd check.

I would not put it in the engine compartment. Too dirty, dusty, and hot.
