Loca Luna is the real deal. Iron Skillet Caribbean Voodoo Stew...how can you go wrong with that?

For what it's worth, if you're looking for sushi, Sushi Cafe on Kavanaugh is relatively remarkable.

Has McDonalds still got the McRib?

Ok, so the wife and I went to eat at Majestic tonight since we were starving after a 5k this morning and yard work all day. What has happened to my favorite burger joint? Our portions were half the size they were a few months ago! I ordered a double thinking I would be full to the point of bursting and I am served something that looks like a wendys double stack on a sourdough bun? WTH? Of coarse we ate up but heck Im still hungry and my burger was the same ole high price! We asked but they played dumb saying nothing has changed. On another note, another obvious cutback at Majestic is no more nice plastic cups to take home now its cheap clear disposables but hey nothing has changed they told me so!

CS's burger....LARGE DOUBLE, was $6.75....with tea and fries it was $8.50 out the door.......

Are you F-ing kidding me?

As for Majestic, I don't know. I can't bring myself to go there not that I have discovered so many great burger joints.

I will probably go again once they open up their new place in Ridgeland at the Colony.

If you're ever in Yazoo City be sure and hit the Yazoo Market. It's across the street from the MDOT office just off of 49. It is an old roadside fruit and veggie market that now serves a kick ass plate lunch, burgers and dogs. I had the shrimp and grits which was the best I've ever had dollar for dollar. Be sure you have some place to go to eat it as there is no seating.

If you're in Pensacola...

...go to the Fish House in Pensacola, get the "Grits a ya ya." Not the most manly thing to order, but if you think you like shrimp and grits, you'll love their version. ;)

I went to Trace Grill last night and got a bacon cheese burger with Jalapeno bun.

Meh.

Will probably make the top 10 but it will be on the bottom of the list.

Fries suck.

The place is still awesome. The plate lunch is $8 out the door and it is great.

I say we have a big burger cooking and try to create the ultimate burger! Throw some beers in a cooler and throw on some tunes. It'll be a party in no time!

Home grilled burgers top most all sto-bought burgers IMO. I just like seeing who can mass produce the best ones ;)

Can't wait for Tuesday...I am on my diet starting Sunday but will still do burgers with no bun.

Gotta skip the fries and beer though :(

I will be fresh off failng a PT test and will need one of the barnyard burgers to cheer me up!

Nolan, I am just looking at this thread and realizing your burger fetish. If you like burgers you are going to be with in two miles of the best burger I have ever had. Belmont Grill at the corner of mendenhall and poplar has the best burger around. It is pretty much the only place I will eat hamburgers.

Also get onion rings as the side and the fried cheese appetizer. It is not like that frozen crap with mozzarella in it. It is the bomb!

Funny you say that about Belmont Grill. I was with my wife and college-age daughter doing some shopping just before Christmas. When my wife asked the haughty ladies at the register for food recommendations, I cringed (figured I was about to be asked to eat some wonderfully arranged snow peas...). They pointed us to several places, but said that Belmont Grill has the best burgers in town. I didn't believe them, so we ended up going to the Half Shell (which was good, btw).

Guess you can't judge a culinary book by it's cover?

At least ten lbs. of my extra weight is from my medium rare burgers from Belmont. The other is from the half-shell. The Belmont looks like a dump and I would not drink the water from there but the burgers are awesome.

Belmont does indeed have a tasty burger...but, the best burger I have had of late is the Local Burger at Local...that is a damn fine burger. Also, if you want fries...the fries at Central BBQ (on Central) are inspiring...
