Where to buy ACTUAL Magnaflow 23120 cat? Not Bosal.

Hey everyone,

Any recommendations on where to buy an actual Magnaflow made 23120 catalytic converter? I ordered one through Worldpac but ended up being a Bosal made/Magnaflow branded cat that had horrible fitment. Apparently this is a common issue after Magnaflow purchased Bosal. Just curious if anyone has purchased one recently and actually received one that looks like the actual picture.

Mine came in three days. Appeared to come from O'Reilly's warehouse . All parts have magnaflow markings . Good quality . Getting installed Thursday .

Ahhh well hopefully a warehouse nearby will have it. I've heard great things about the actual Magnaflow part. It wasn't until I started researching about my fitment problem that I came across the whole Bosal issue. Hopefully I'll have mine installed and ready for the weekend.

From what I understand the Magnaflow one has a cat that looks similar to the OEM Toyota one, the Bosal cat has a cylindrical cat.

This is true. The magnaflow cat is larger and has a heat shield welded on, bosal cat is the "bottle" type (small cylinder). Magnaflow also has larger diameter piping after the pipes merge and a mandrel bend before the cat, rather than a mandrel/smooshed/crunched bend.

That's nice. But doesn't help when these days you pay a premium for genuine Magnaflow and you receive a disguised Bosal piece of crap. Do these aholes even care? I feel lucky that I actually received a genuine Magnaflow when I ordered my y-pipe from eBay a few months ago.

just spoke with this seller and he confirmed he has the actual magnaflow with the correct cat. has 4 left in stock. great price. Good to know. I have a 94 that goes over the frame after the cat to the muffler, but it is a y pipe there. Anyone know of a company that makes an over the frame piece? may just have to make one up, going to just get a bosal catback to attach too

So apparently Magnaflow acquired Bosal's US assets and operations towards the end of 2016. Seems like this rebranded Bosal pieces are just now starting to surface?

Couldn't find much info aside from this translated article. I wouldn't be surprised if Magnaflow discontinued production of certain low-volume parts and let the Bosal facilities take over.

O'Reilly's, Carquest, Napa, Advance Auto, and Auto zone do not have any in stock in the country. They all are factory direct and all factory direct are now Bosal. I "ordered" from each over the last week and made them bring them in for me to look at. They were all Bosal. I also ordered from 3 different amazon sellers who swore they matched the picture. Wrong......I just bought one from the guy on Ebay you posted. People like him will be the last to be found. I bought 2 of them.......

Walmart had a few in stock as well. They were $235 last week I had one in my cart. Went to buy it and it had gone to $309 over night. They shipped and sold from Walmart so maybe they are old stock in a warehouse somewhere
