Where to buy ACTUAL Magnaflow 23120 cat? Not Bosal.

So glad I bought my last magnaflow when I did. If the cat ever goes out, I'm just welding a new cat in and keeping the pipes.
Just talked to my local Oriellys and they said they sell the Genuine Magnaflow 23120. Price was $366.00
Having ordered and returned a couple of Bosal-in-a-Magnaflow-box pipes, I contacted Brian at AXXIS OFF ROAD 951-326-4664 (no longer extremely active on 'mud) and was assured that I was going to get a genuine one, that the warehouse double-checked, and that if the pipe was not the correct one he was going to cover return shipping. Well, here is what came in today:

Considering the whole MAP thing (Minimum Advertised Price), I would rather say that I 1/ paid full price, 2/ Brian is pretty responsive (both via phone and email), and 3/ I get no kickbacks from the guy and am in no way affiliated with him. That being said, if you look at what *everyone* (who claims to be an authorized reseller) lists those for, you'll figure out what *I* paid for (free S/H, no coupons - I didn't ask, and did not beat him up on price). I was not willing to wait for yet another Bosal to show up at the local store, and Axxis clearly knew what I was talking about (former FZJ80 owner from the sounds of it) and was willing to stand behind the promises he was making - unlike my local NAPA and CAP.
I just got mine from O'Reilly's. Called my local store at 8:00 AM and was delivered to the store by 1:00 pm that same day due to them having several at the local warehouse. It was comforting knowing that if it wasn't the right one I didn't have to pay for it!
How can you tell between the two?
One looks like garbage and the other doesn't.

So today I was out cruising around in the mountains and my down pipe cracked on me and after extensive research, I found a website called "HOTTEXHUAST.COM" and right now they're offering 25% for black friday. After discount it came out to $275 with free shipping. Hopefully I get a genuine MF down pipe and not the Bosal crap everyone else has been dealing with!! I'll report back once I get it in the mail.

I ordered a magnaflow and second Cat from "dailyperformance" on ebay. I got both for $394. Opened the boxes and they are genuine magnaflow. The front is listed at $280 and I used a 15% promotion ebay running to bring it under $240. They didn't list the manufacturer because of the minimum advertised pricing but the part number matched and I verified before purchasing. At the same time I got a Borla cat back when summit racing had a low price and was able to get another vendor to beat it. All in under $1000.
But all the savings was lost because had to go to the local dealership for all new mounting hardware because I need it today. Wish I would have ordered that at the same time.

Yep, the rubber mounts are only ~$6 from bosal and like $30 from the dealer.
I would have just ordered them from amazon and let the exhaust dangle for a couple days.

That pretty much sums it up. But to be a little more specific,
- bosal has a bottle style cat rather than the stock-looking cat with stamped heat sheild built in.
- bosal has 2.25" piping after the Y rather than 2.5"
- bosal bend right before the cat looks like it was beaten into shape with a hammer and two strong men, not a mandrel bend
So, why not just order a Vibrant cat and have it all assembled? Thats what I did on my supercharged Tacoma. Built to order. Looks and runs awesome.
For those with pipes in good shape, that is probably the best option now.
In case you havent noticed, all the magnaflow ones are back to back to being magnaflow unless someone has NOS sitting on the shelf.
