Can I get some real time help on this? 400km away from civilization and trying to get home.

Look at sewellpartsonline.com they have diagrams for the LX 570. It should be in or around the same place on the 200.

From Range Cruiser's (200 VXR) post on: Additional fuel filter install?

"Located the filter under the middle left side of the vehicle mounted on the frame. It is protected by a steel impact cover secured by four bolts. It is half the size of the 100 series filter! I also took a look at a new one at the dealership parts department. It is mounted to a bracket that secures the whole thing to the frame."

good Luck...

Thanks for the help guys. Got it cleaned out and made it home today. Still some stutter under acceleration, but we'll let a trained mechanic get it fixed up from here. Appreciate the quick info from all!

BTW, thick sandy sludge in the fuel filter. Should have taken a picture. Had them clean the tank back in the city, lots of goop.

Sverige - what part of Africa are you in? I am having major issues with TLC fuel quality in Somalia and South Sudan right now. I have tried to get the guys over there to purchase a "Mr Funnel" and also parker fuel water separator.

But with the filters its already allowed the junk into the fuel tank and that small screen inside can get blocked easy. The real trick is the try and stop the junk from getting into the tank in the first place.

I'm not sure where inside you could mount one but racor makes a great additional filter. I put one on a duramax that I was having fuel issues with. Small enough to fit beside the tank and manufactured a skid plate for protection. I've also put them on generators. Great product.
