I searched sor and ccot for choke cables.
I need one for 1971 fj40 and one for 1978 fj40.
Thank you,

The same place you buy hen's teeth...about the best you can do is post up a 'want' ad in the classifieds and browse the 'for sale' threads. Also scan ebay often...they do come up for sale now and then. I got one from the for sale ads on here back in the early summer. Good luck on your hunt!

I think I might have a cinnect in that. I will check it out. I left you a post on another thread did you see it?

Yes the OEM ones are way cooler than some generic one.......good luck with your search.

The fj60 ones are still available, has anyone tried to make these work in fj40?

I saw a post from awhile back about FjCruiser for sale? By chance do you still have it? And then I asked where you go to rock crawl? I saw that in you post. I'm new to the high desert ( after divorce), and am looking for a place to get out some frustrations and try my trucks suspension. Thanks

We sold our FJCruiser FAST in February, and bought another one. The question should be, where can you not go wheelin up here. Depending on what you like, I cruiser up in Wrightwood and in Phelan area. What city are you in?

Rock crawl in Wrightwood and phelan??? Would not have thought that. I'm in hesperia. Just haven't found a good place yet. Single now ( no ball and complaining chain anymore) so looking for a place where it's pretty rough. HELL YA! The trails you do in Wrightwood and phelan really rough? Thanks

Cool about your Fj. Looking to replace the one I lost in the divorce. I lost ALL my cruisers in the divorce,. just bought another recently though as a moral booster. NOTE TO ALL CRUISER GUYS, PUT YOUR TOYS IN YOUR NAME ONLY AND GET IT IN WRITING THAT THEY ARE YOURS IN THE EVENT OF. Anyways, I don't know how many people will see this ( still trying to navigate this site and figure it out) but these are WISE WORDS!

Yep. We all need a life jacket and life boat ifn case the ship starts sinking.

Do you have your original ones? From a post on here a while ago, I took a rubber fuel line a little bigger then the cable, cut it a little longer then the cable, slide the entire cable up to the knob part and then fill it with pb blaster or other penetrating oil and hang it up to soak for a few weeks. Mine eventually became movable again.

Yes, I do and it's frozen. That sounds like a good trick. I'll try it today.

Sometimes trollhole has them. I got one from him a couple of years ago.

I bought one from cruiserparts.net. I then took it to the local bike store and they sold me a new cable for $5 bucks. Works perfect.
