Where are all those daily drivers?

Do you think they would still sell the sticker? I think they used to put them on the 80 series STD models.
I have a brand new drivers door (and w/s frame) and I want to replace the sticker if possible
well, i bought in in Japan on a whim. once purchased i had it stored in Japan for a while. then i got the bright idea to have the firebox removed. this led to another storage period usually because it wasn't high priority to get it over and a customers truck would bump the shipping which would lead to another storage period. in the end it just took that long.
no real reason, just the way it worked out. now it is here and the parts are acumulated for the refurbishing. look for a thread shortly.

yes on the 80series rv lower front half of the front doors ,the rv 80 series wgns were a gxl with no flares and split rims as std ,im pretty sure only 4.5 manuals to
on ebay a guy sells cruiser stickers like the diturbo 4200 cab stickers you see on utes and 100's i asked him about 4500efi he said send him a pic and size he can make any

Any vinyl sticker shop will be able to make one up for u. Many sign writers have the equipment too. Just take in a JPEG or other picture file format and they should be able to make one up for you. I've had them done before but not for my cruiser.

You could take a really good picture of yours & give it to a
sticker shop with the measurements of the original. They could make one up. The white duco will make it easier for them to. Nice white background to work with.

Not that I nor the trucks seem to have the time lately to wheel, or even day trip...here are some pictures of the BJ74 at ACT 2006. And yes, it is a daily driver (cept the BJ42 is on the road now for our summer).

roscos are 80 series ones the ones you have mate depending on the size are of the 79 rv cruiser ute doors orr if there size is huge they will be the once that run all the way down the side of the troopy rv's i love all the tyre track rv stickers 10 outa 10 for any of them ,some have the rv lettering in yellow
Yep.... I realise there not the same as Rosco's but if he goes to the link and checks it out, as you would have, the bloke selling them says he has other decals for sale that aren't up on the site. Maybe the bloke has em or can make one up for him. That was the closest I could find to his while I've been looking for a transfer shift decal. And I'm not the vendor!!

Thanks. I did not weld the sliders/bars. I used Unistrut and their foot clamps as a base of the cage, then had Taran at Big Country Customs (local shop) run the support bar up from the sliders. The support bar and roof rack are off and sold. Used those for the ACT trip only.
Wayne, that water crossing picture was taken by Karr (who rode along for the day) and the one taken of the BJ74 coming out the stream was taken by Coldtaco.
Stone...had to google Blue Steel. Never seen Zoolander.
Not having had a ton of water crossing experience, all the deeper ones had some pucker factor. There was a ton of water crossings in the area we went that week, and it was a great time. One of the Alaskans experienced in reading the river always lead the way. iirc that picture was just after the point of entry, when the hood bopped under for a moment due to the angle into the water.
ihave done some deep water crossing but usually only for a few (although seeming like minutes) seconds. once i had water half way up the windshield on a stock 42 with no snorkle and a coupel tiems on the 70 with a snorkle...
i wish i had pics of the gasser bushhog, i had water proofed the old girl very well and could run water crossings without a hickup but as usual the more you build a truck the worse the problems.
i attempted to cross a pond with the water over the hood, windshield down and 1/2 doors... that gave me a serious pucker factor especially since i was just above idle and the water pressure got too much for the oversized exhaust. too much back pressure and suddenly the putt putt putt became very quiet and as the truck settled into the mud the water came pouring in.
there was ice around the shore and i looked at my co-pilot and said "you know what your job is". he looked at me as if i was nutz since we were about 200 ft from shore. he jumped into the water and the water came up to his nipples "damn" as his teeth started chattering away. i climbed on the hood, reached under the water and hooked the 100 ft tugg'm to the 8274 and he started walking. once the rope started getting tight i hit the freewheel and let out enough to reach the shore. he hooked onto a vehicle on shore that had agreed to pull me out if i fail in the attempt. once hooked i fired up the 8274 which was completely under water. at first i thought it was dead but soon enough there was a tiny wake coming from the snorkle and i winched in till the rope was close enough to hook onto the bumper and i gave the signal. the Ford pulled me the rest of the way to shore.
damage was a dead 8274, carburator, starter, alternator, all fluids needing flushing and changing. when i removed the air cleaner the carb was leveled by water. it turns out that water enters through the exhaust and into the engine and fills the carb.
dumb but i learned a lot from the experience:
never just idle through a DEEP hole
8274s work under water ... once
getting flooded is very $$$$$$
still fun times when you are young and silly.
