Today was a nice day and I thought I should remove the top and just go with the bikini top? This is my DD. Maybe I should wait another month?:hhmm:

I am in the north park area. I am also wondering if people will start loitering my car? I was thinking a club would take care of it.

You need to ask- when to put it on:D.

I know I guess its just wanting to think it through before going through all the trouble. I think I would like to run w/ out doors and so I need to get a dog seatbelt deal secured, a lock for the seat so I have some secure storage. Just some things to consider;)

CATS!!!

You get a lot of foot traffic in your neighborhood, but the real issue around your place will be cats:mad:

Just ask me how I know??? So even if you park in the underground spot you'll want a cab cover to keep the little S%$t eaters out of it.

I took mine off in college and never put it back on, :)

the hardtops are tough, if that is what we are talking about, you can cut the posts to make it a bit easier to get in and out of the truck.

cats are a problem, I have had them spray in there which is a real PIA. If you can get a trail top or a cover tight on there it may help to keep them out.

well...

I figured as much. ;p I figure why drag everyone through it. I have not offered myself up for flaming, but I knew you would find me out;) Eric was a little miffed, I am used to it. I just do what makes me happy. :flipoff2:

I think friday I will be taking the top off. :)

After driving Toms 71 there was no going back on the decision. I was really going to hold out for something clean and I got lucky so I pulled the trigger.

te he he

Tom I know you are kidding but let me just say I did love your cruiser. The Saginaw, Chev350, full roll cage, and functional back seat all sound really good now after I have broken myself in on the 40.

I used to keep the Bikini top on all year round. Most of the time without doors. We're in San Diego! The hardtop went on every once and a while. Usually when I just felt like putting it on or when we had some descent rains.

Now I have his old rig! HAHAHA! We made a straight trade. Now that I have an 80, I need to sell my 60 too.

If you put it up for sale

I will put in a good word for ya.

fawk it- Landcruisers have great heaters. The only time it's cold is running freeway speeds- :D.

The top is off and I took a nice ride home this evening from PB to my home near North Park. It was awesome, my :princess: helped me lift the confer rack and roof off the 40, did the rest myself. The look on her face, and the look on my mothers face as I started stashing parts in my old room and the garage, priceless. :D

It feels great to have the wind blowing, feels a little quicker (relatively) without the extra weight. Oddly the car seems quieter too. Tomorrow I will fit the soft top and tonight I will get on top of ordering the top to secure it at night from the cats and condensation. Now I just need to get it on the trail.

I use to use mouse traps to train the cats. Just don't forget when you jump in the driver's seat...
