Is anybody heading out for some wheeling this Saturday? Or does anybody want to?

I'm up for anything from a short half day to a long full day run.

Suggestions?

I traded the month of January's Saturdays for some fun in December. Reminds me of a hamburger-eatin' cartoon character.

WIMPY!!

(J. Wellington, that is...)

where are you considering going?
For now, I was thinking the Florence Junction area, perhaps down to the Coke Ovens. But I'm really open to going about anywhere. I'm thinking medium difficulty trails with good scenery.

I live way over on the westside...do you know any other places maybe more north of the valley...I don't mind driving but Florence a little too far away for tomorrow anyway...

I'm really not that familiar with many trails in the Phoenix area. How far north are you thinking? Crown King?

North of Anthem...entering Table Mesa area heading up into the Bradshaws or something like that...I usually end up wheeling and exploring without an exact destination...Usually turns out pretty good...

Sounds good to me! Meeting time and place?

Okay, we're meeting at the McDonalds east of I-17 on the Carefree highway at 8:30, probably heading out around 9:00. From there, we'll head up north a bit and do some exploring in the previously mentioned Table Mesa/Bradshaws areas, with no exact plan or route. We're expecting this to be about a 1/2 day trip.

We should both have our CB radios on, I'll be on channel 19 up until McDonalds, then switch to channel 4.

Table Mesa off I-17 is a nice run will take you ultimately into Cave Creek if you head south after Table Mesa rd ends. Check your Massey book for side trails - FR 37 (31?) is a fun little dead end distraction. All has some cool photo ops after the Cave Creek Complex fire. Wish I could get out....

there a couple old mining things to look at waaaay back in there, past both terminators, predator, twisted and six days trails:flipoff2: , its a good half day looky loo, and there lots and lots of other things to check out.
