Greg and I are heading out to explore the "forbidden mountain"...looked like a bunch of fun the last time a bunch of Club members headed up there. Anyone else interested? Would like to see at least a couple more trucks go.

Hi Allstone,

Where is it and can my stocker make it (now with new & improved 31" BFG ATs)? It would be good to get out with you and Greg.

Hi Bruce:

I'm sure your stock truck will be fine...although there may be some hairy situations. I haven't been there myself, but heard that a stock BJ74 (he had lockers though), made it through without any problems. There's a few of us going though, so there will be no shortage of assistance.

It would be good to wheel with you (and yellowchaos :D). I'll PM you the details.

Cheers,
Stone

I have something up that evening which I am now trying to switch. If I can make it, count me in. I'll keep you posted.

BTW - you never did answer Bruce. Where is the run? I'm not familiar with "forbidden mountain" either.

K - I'm in.... What time and where do we meet... Thanks for doing it on a saturday.... ;-)

Id be in to go again, Not much to explore........... one trail up same trail down. Lots of short shoots through the trees in the lower secion though. BTW this trail kinda goes with my "willing to take Dammage" thread.

Last time we met at the Dee Dutch Pannakoek House, one block East of Coquitlam Centre for breakfast at 9:00 am.
My rig is not on the road yet, but if Gary T will go and take me, then we're in. Expect snow at the top.

Hi dan - Petra here... I drive the HJ61. Not sure how much "damage am I willing to take" as my daily driver... Can you explain the trail to me a bit. Do you think my truck is capable or should I pair up with someone... I don't have the sliders YET, they are on order. Your input and expertise is greatly appreciated...

Dang, sometimes it sucks living this far out in prime wheeling country.
I have to go explore all by myself! :D
You guys ought to make a trip out here one weekend in the spring.

But seriously, I wish I could go.
Sounds like its going to be a blast.

Hope you all break a birflield :) (just kidding)
Have fun,
Nick

I would bring your truck, You can still have "safe" fun in the lower sections. Just be catious on the main trail and you should be ok.When in doubt ASK for a spotter!!! We dont need club members shaking in their boots when driving around rocks ;)

Hey Dan, Wats up, Why are you shaking in your boots?:flipoff2:

ahh so - you volunteering to be a "spotter" Dan...;)
SHAKE, RATTLE and ROLL BABY!!!!

OK - Bill just PM'd me... I "am" shaking in my TOYO boots... Will be declining on this run... Ya all have fun!!! Looking into hooking up with the crew going to Sunrise Lake???

Gary Telford feels that the trail to "Forbidden Mountain" is too treacherous and boggy at this time of year. He has played up there since he was a kid both on bikes and with Cruisers. He knows what he is talking about. If he says don't go, then I believe him, and will not be there on Saturday. Last time we went, many vehicles sustained damage, including El Presidente's Birfield joint. Might be an idea to take chains for the lower section mud bogs. Have fun!

I've no idea what to expect, seeing as I have never been there...

I can defer if those who know the area suggest it is not wise, but I wanna do something on Saturday. I could also continue with the plan...and see how it is...
