Stockton Wheel I believe is the only source for 5-lug 16" steel hundy wheels...but they aren't $40.

Isn't that the truth-I priced wheels there at one time for my FJ60, and they were quoting something like $200 per wheel. For that price, Henry could buy up some stocker aluminum ones.

The one nice thing about Stockton wheel, though, is that ther wheels are heavier duty then the usual generic cheap steelies..

Well, I decided to contact every steel wheel company I knew of True Design, Stockton, US wheel, AR, Cragar, Unique, and Bart. I'll post up the results when I get their responses. I put a minimum order of 13 to get the ball rolling on price because I know between Exiled and myself we can use at least that many.

I believe(99%) the steel whell for the HDJ100/UZJ100 16x8JJ is 42601-60600, check if CDAN can order them (I think he has done special orders before, but may need a quantity)
Did anybody ask CDan yet? I would think that would be the way to go for those who want steelies.

No can do!

It looks like Toyota part# 42601-60600 is a non-U.S. sourced item ( I.E. not available through the typical parts ordering system ) but hopefully its possible to order them from an outside vendor/source

OR...

As mentioned, just go with the 18" Tundra steelies...Thats what I slapped on my rig to do some towing, and...well, they actually look pretty bitchin` on a 100 !

my model the GXL LC100 no longer has the "steelies" as an option anymore.
I think they went to alloys on all GXLs in late 2005 or early 2006.
Not sure what options are on the so called "Poverty Pack" these days, but if anyone wants me to find out let me know. Happy to phone the local dealer.

The steelies come up on Ebay Oz a lot, but you have to be careful as some of the sellers don't know if they're for IFS or solid axle...probably coz they stole them.

The honest sellers will tell you (hopefully), but obviously when something is being shipped you have to wait and see.

I bought 3 for $80 OZ each and the courier from Adelaide (8 hours drive from where i live) was not much...$50?? But to the USA, that's obviously a different "kettle of fish" as they say. And the prices vary too. I think some people get carried away with bidding on Ebay sometimes!! For example, i saw a Milford cargo barrier sell for $99 last week ...the last one i bid for went for $350 and i gave up at $250 :crybaby: but i know you all know about Ebay prices!

There were a few steelies on there last week. Anyway, there's obviously a market for Oz parts in the USA, although now with our dollar above $USD0.90c at the moment, the prices would be higher than what you're probably used to.

We have a Federal election coming up soon so maybe that will change things.
cheers
peter
