So my ash blue GX arrives Tuesday morning and I already have my wheels listed on craigslist. I'm just not crazy about the GX stockers. I've had the Tundra split spoke 17s on my last two rides. I'm thinking it will be knew of these two. The 4Runner 20s can only Handle up to a 275 width. The bbs are 9.5" wide themselves so demand at least a 285 tire. I plan on doing a 2" lift in the front and maybe 1" in the rear. what do you all think?

This will just be for looks. This won't be a true off-road vehicle. I just want to get rid of soccer mom look

If you want to get rid of soccer mom looks, just take the running boards off.

Unfortunately, it's hard to completely rid the GX of the soccer mom look without significant modifications. It's a soccer mom car to begin with. A little lift won't change that. Ha. I do like the look of the 4R Limited 20" wheels on the GX though, if that's the look you want.

Eh, a little taller tires and sliders go a long way, IMO.

Not enough sidewall, IMO.

Sold my stockers and picked up the bbs with some 305/50 street tires off craigslist. The 305s stick just a little bit out of the fenders so I will probably look for some 295 nitto terra grapplers to stay flush. 1.5" spacers to come

Just ordered some anthracite gray plasti dip and I'm going to try painting just the spokes and leave the lip polished. We'll see how it turns out
