I'm putting stock wheels and new tires on my 77 40. I had some American Racing wheels on her before. My problem is that I've taken the wheels off no problem, but the open center caps in the front are stuck tight. Do I pry these off or do I need to take the hubs off to get them off or what?

Thanks for any help you can offer me.

Split them with a hammer and chisel.

Use a screwdriver or flat pry bar and hit it between the cap and the rotor (not the one under the hood!):)

That should separate it.

Side cutter and pliers. Snip the edge with the cutters, and peel it open like the can of SPAM it once was.

Beat on 'em with a rubber mallet...side to side, top to bottom....with a little PB blaster or WD....I assume you don't want to keep them....treat them like they owe you money..
