i want to buy one that i am looking at he wants $2000 , it has 136 000 miles , the frame is 99% rust free , couple of pin holes at the arch drivers side , a.c. and all power options , new front brakes , back brakes available not installed , tires are 60% , body getting the cancer bad both arches and drivers side sill and rocker are toast . interior is a 7 out of 10 , the biggest problem for me is the price of gas and the 12 mpg these pigs get .

Sounds like you are in the ball park for price, BUT....

Double and triple check the auto trans. If it buggers out you are screwed.

Fluid quality, shift quality, noises, previous history, these are all good things to dertermine before buying any older vehicle with an AT.

A trans rebuild can go for $2500 to $4000.

If you can't determine the history or condition of the trans, be sure to negotiate the price such that your risk is compensated.

Hell, negotiate for the lowest price anyway.

Best wishes,

Rick

With a bunch of rust I wouldn't pay over 1500 for it. If anything happened you'd got close to making your money back in parts.
