I got mine for $2500, $900 to ship. It was worth every penny. All I had to do for restoration was buy a K5 Blazer and 'CANNIBALIZE'. 350, auto, etc. If you don't like the fact that I've gone with Cheap Chevy parts, eat me.

My Wagon is cool, and I've only got $6000 in it. It'll be done in 3 weeks and I'll post pics....as for $6 to $10K. Not on my watch; ever. These are 30, almost 40 year old, mainly BEAT THE HELL UP trucks. Convince him of that and you've got a deal. Good Luck.

If you need tips on some here and there restoration stuff, email me.

If I sat down and figured what I've got in my 77 FJ40 including the purchase price($3500), SOA, power steering and the tub I bet I'd be getting very close to $10-11K. I doubt I could sell it for that because it still has the original 130,000 mile running gear. That does'nt include around 200 hrs of my labor in it.(labor of love it was)
While wagons are cool and nice ones can be worth some money. You would'nt want to take a cherry original wagon into the places I take my 40.
