What tyre size?

Well you recommended the LT285/65R 18E for me, so I will find out this weekend if you're on the ball or not :D

This is the most pressure I've felt in a long time! Hey I've got 285/60/18s Toyo ATs on the white truck with more than enough clearance all around...slightly taller shouldn't change any of that.

I just bought my first Land Cruiser. How do you drive it? Any suggestions for getting the driver's door open and my body into the seat? I've searched but not found anything related.

The first thing you need to do is get the FSM, if you don't know what that is just use the search function, that's what it is for.

You guys crack me up! :meh:

First- buy a LC and join a forum
Second- buy lots of crap you think you need, buy some more, mod it out, look cool
Third - Go wheeling
Fourth - Read how you know nothing, everything you've done is wrong, and your wheels will fall off if they are not the right size.

Or, just drive the damn thing.

Got the new BFG All Terrains on today, fit real good. Thanks Loud :D

Or drive the damn thing, decide the tires you have just won't cut it, read 100000000 tire review threads, double the curb value of your truck by buying the be all end all tire, discover all those guys who wrote those reviews really didn't do the kind of stuff you do, wait until the tires wear out and start over.

Ah man, I'm putting Brembo brakes all the way around on my 100 series.

I'll stop better for sure with my new tyres and these brakes!

OK, anybody still really reading this thread?
I'm so tired of my Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's from the vibration, and after Barney-Riley, I took a couple of big chunks out of two of them.
Spresso has me hooked on the 18's, and I have started to find them cheap around here as take off's. I'm looking at the Revo's in 285/65-18, but that puts me back at a 32" tire.
OR--- BFG AT/KO's in a 275/70-18 is a 33.2" tire, but it's a stinking BFG AT.
oh, and I don't like Goodyears from previous warranty issues.

Ideas? Anyone? Hello?
Do I have to put this out there on the main threads and hear all the banter about flippin tire size?
"Mine's bigger"

Honestly, the GY Duratracs seem like a really good buy over most tires out there, definitely over the BFGs. I'd like to try them out but they don't do the skinny 35. The Duratrac is LT275/70R18 @ 33.4". I know I just said exactly what you wanted to avoid by posting publicly. I'm not going back to BFGs in any size, i didnt like how they wore on my truck, and JonHaris for example has had 12 new tires put on that truck in the last year or so, I believe in that same size you mentioned above. Horray road hazard warranty.

The tried and true Nitto Terra Grappler is also available in the 275/70R18 size. Personally, I think Toyo/Nitto manufactures a higher quality tire (balance better, fewer defects) than Goodyear but Goodyear is not far behind and my GY MT/R-K's have been pretty solid. It would be a toss up between the NTerraG and GY Duratracs for me.

Ah yes the terraGs. Joe loves installing those at Slee, says they balance the best out of any tire. They're not bad on snow and are pretty quiet, quieter than BFGs. Yes TerraGs or Duratracs in the size you specified unless you want to go with a more aggressive MT

Haven't been in here in a while...quite a while it seems! Those Brembo covers are the s***! Just what the 100 crowd needs!

On the tire subject. I'm buying a set of the new Toyo ATIIs. I recently bought one GY MT/R and it can't be balanced to satisfaction. Discount will order me a new tire at no charge but its an effing hassle.

You'd think if GY has the balls to charge $458 EACH for those effing tires they could at least up their quality/quality control.

Jury's out on the TG's as far as I'm concerned. I've spoken to as many guys that have gotten good mileage out of them as not. And like the original Toyo OC AT they come with zero tread life warranty in our size(s).

I've been with two guys with Duratracs on DV runs: 1-had a sidewalll puncture and the other had a tread side puncture from a small stone picked up on a gravel road of all places.

The new Toyo OC ATII comes with a 50,000 mile tread life warranty from Toyo and I can buy them for $260+ each. So that's my plan.
