Hey guys, I've got some quarter size rust bubbles in my bed section. I don't have the funds to fully strip and fix them now. What should I do to repair them for the time being? I was thinking just use a grinding wheel and hit them real good then add some sealer primer or Duplicolor bed coating. Should this be ok? Any help would be great.

I would grind or wire wheel to get clean metal and thenstrip out the body calk and replace then hit it with some high build primer, sand it a bit to smooth it out and hit it with some duplicolor that comes close. I can't tell exactly what color red that is but I did the same thing to my 1980 40 and Krylon cardnal red was a perfect match. The paint and sand paper will cost less than 20 bucks and it should help a lot. Good luck.

Get a wire wheel for your Grinder, it's more forgiving to the metal that a regular grinder wheel. and like he said - get down to bare metal - Prime it and seal it or Prime it and paint it.
