So while I was workin' on that other project (snorkel hook-up), I was also workin' on putting the carb back on and putting back in a stock coil. My 60 has had Jacobs Electric garbage installed since I bought it. Anyway, it's seemed to run fine, but the deal is, if you get just close enough to the coil when she's runnin' you get a sweet little shock. I beleive it is what keeps killin' the rig when I splash a bit of water into the engine bay.
So anyway, I start tearing the jacobs computer box out but before I do, I'm readin' on it to see where all the wires are going. There's the negative and positive to the bat and the positive and negative to the coil, blah, blah, etc, etc. And then there's "Anti-theft (wire to ground)". Hmmm. So I start chasin' down the wire that's comin' off the lead. It goes right through a hole in the firewall and ends at a special place somewhere inside the truck where there's a tiny, tiny ass flip-switch which is wired to ground. Holy s***. All this time, I've had a kill switch in my rig. And I'm tellin' ya, this switch is in a SWEET spot and is so damn tiny you'd never even see the damn thing if you were lookin'.
So, anyway, since I'm pullin' out the Jacobs computer, I figure I'll just wire it up to the negative on the coil like others have suggested in other threads.
Anyway, here's a pic I tried to take of the switch. Can you see it?
