??? Just wondering if I can use an older diff for my `80 axels?The bolt pattern is the same on the pinoin flage as my current diff.I know the front and rear are interchangeable.Thanks for your help. ;)
 
Depends on the year :). Check the TLC FAQL for information. The pinion went to fine spline in late '78, but spider gears went to fine spline in '68 IIRC. The gear ratio changed in '79.
 
Thank you,cruiserman.I guess the difference is the spline on the pinion.Course vs. fine.Yes,they will work,and the gears in that diff are nice ;).410`s for the front and woods bound this weekend.Just a note,if you can find diffs from front axels they are generally in nicer shape.Due to the fact that most of the time the hubs aren`t locked 100% of the time.Just from my experiance. 8)
