So I'm replacing a bunch of parts on my 87 FJ60 and came to a point where I'm removing hose 17343 (it's one of the hoses that's part of the AIR injection system)and noticed all this rusty sediment inside the hose.
I removed the hose and poured out the "stuff". The pictures below show what was in there and whats still in the valve pictured where the bottom of the hose attaches to.
The rust seems to be part of the metal that these hoses attach to.
I can't imagine this helping my truck run good.
Any ideas what this stuff could have caused?
