What is with the tiny screens on the 2015 and older?

made you look. :)

But seriously tired of hearing over and over about the screens. Owned the truck for a week or so now. Haven't even taken the cover off the screens and don't even notice them. Not a reason not to buy.

Ya, I guess it would get annoying... I pledge no more bagging on those screens. )

Lol had to tease you guys a bit. All great trucks and such a small item to complain about. And sure can get seats made easily.

Lol just poking fun because I couldn't believe how it annoys everyone to have screens. I think everyone needs something to pick on since the 200 is perfect

Not sure on the 2015 and older. On the 2016 like 9" screens. Honestly are dumb looking but sure they will work out fine

My screen on the 14 is a rear fold down from the roof. I have seen Lexus 570's with them in the headrest. My kids are grown and I have no need for larger or small screens. If my younger daughter wants to watch something while we are on a trip, she can sit in the backseat of her 100 series and watch. Me, I use my surface to watch movies and not while I am driving.

Everyone has to be happy with what they buy. Sometimes little things can make a difference. I bought mine because it was like new, under warranty and over 20K less than invoice on a 2016. The screens would not have kept me from buying a 16, even though they are too big :D

One good thing about the screens, the kids are less liable to get "Tech Neck", assuming you can keep the iPad away from them!

Don't have screen envy boys. I am sure you will tell me it isn't the size but how you use it :)

OK... Since you're still eggin us on... I shall break my pledge! ;)

I think the gripes are related to how it just seems half-baked...in a vehicle that is otherwise very well thought out.
It would have been so easy to adding something truly useful in its place.

For example: If they had created an optional, adjustable mounting point for tablet or similar device...with a handy little USB charging connector right there... That would have made a great deal of sense, and would help nearly all users, since the vast majority of us now have devices to use/plug in...that kids/passengers can utilize. It would keep in stride with modern technology needs and be viewed as a helpful option that makes sense. The screens get ridiculed not simply because they are big...but because they are a big thing that makes no sense in today's tech world.

A similar gripe could be thrown at outdated GPS offerings. In today's tech and travel world, people expect active, connected GPS content. DVD-based content simply no longer fits as a "luxury" item.

People like that Toyota makes stuff that is well-considered. In these two cases, Toyota fails. -So you hear griping about them.

And there ya go... Markpoop's 1.5 cents. ;)

Those screens would seem more at home in the Lexus. But I understand, from a manufacturing perspective, why they put in both the Toyota and the Lexus.

But I have to say, it is sometimes annoying trying to drive (and use your rear view mirror) with the center screen down. If you are going to have screens, the headrest is a better place, IMO.

I don't know about stupid. All what you like in design guys.

Not being rude or mean just think it is something so dumb to really complain about.

They would had been smart to integrate the screens into the headrests like the newer Range Rover. Those headrests are so freaking comfortable, you could literally take a nice nap in those seats...when waiting for roadside assistance. Lol!

Am I the only one who feels that rear DVD players, whether roof mounted or headrest mounted, should just simply not exist in a Land Cruiser? C'mon... This isn't a minivan.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm a big fan of the screens in my 2016. I still believe in the concept of physical media as opposed to digital content, so we have tons of movies that work great for the kids in back. They are also not only for DVDs, since there is an HDMI input that works for video games, etc.

I also think that when I pay 80K for a vehicle, it damn well better be a premium product. If I wanted an exclusively off road vehicle, I sure as hell wouldn't pay this much for one. It needs to be comfortable as well, and for me and my family that includes having some big ass screens in the back for entertainment.
