What is this part on my 2002 LX470?
Is it for use with a Floor Jack?
Its missing on the Drivers side - just on the Passenger side.

For your amusement, read the links that JLB provided. Didn't realize there were so many comedians that own 100's. Here are 2 of my favorites:

1) Flux Capacitor - don't feed it unless you want to go back to 1985
2) Dual cup holder for when you roll your Cruiser and it's now upside down.

I think we should start a contest to determine the most creative name and purpose of the flux capacitor dual cup holder.

It's a vibration dampener. Remove it and you will never know it's gone.

Slee makes an upgraded one. It's only $300 and nets you .05% improvement in frame harmonic dampening.

Or you can buy the one off my rig - special deal for $275.

If some Toyota engineer designed and installed it, accepting the selling price of each car would be higher. Then I am stupid enough to believe that Toyota did install this item for a reason. :steer:

There are some real jerks on this site. The man asked an honest question. You were there one time!

And there are some people with really thin skins. If you've been here for any length of time, the harmonic dampener thread that comes up monthly is one that people get teased over. One, because it comes up regularly, two, because it's like the 4th question down in the FAQ that no one bothers with, and three, yes, we've been there and got our chops busted too. Lighten up.

I don't understand why the FAQ threads are bypassed, overlooked or forgotten about in every forum on MUD.
