Really liking the Rust Bullet. I used to be a huge POR15 fan, but if this holds up well I consider myself a convert.

the nice thing about rust bullet you don't need near as much prep as por15

Looking good Ramon, I am a few steps behind you

Big props to Joe from JT Outfitters. Stopped by and helped me figure out a disc brake bracket setup for the full floater I bought from Jerry. They have kits for the older FF axle w/ 8 bolt backing plates that had to be drilled and spaced some, but work quite nicely.

Also, thanks JC, as usual the most selfless ONSC'r ever, for spending most the day with me helping getting the disc brakes finished mocking up, SF out from under Dozer, locker swapped to the correct diff and installed in the FF, and full floater under Dozer. Very productive day, but a good chunk of it was spent defunkifying a bell housing. Oh yeah, tanks to the bearded one for helping me get the right bellhousing setup for my soon to be here H55F. :D

I didn't do anything man, just sat around and drank your beer

Dozer will be driving before you know it!

H55F arrived today. I'm stoked! One thing to note, in order to use the 2F bell housing (instead of 3F which clocks the drivetrain clockwise for decreased driveshaft angles) you have to do a tiny bit of grinding for the front bearing retainer on the H55 to fit:

And the whole shebang:

One thing to note... I went to change out the bell housing on the back of the 2FE. Currently it has the F housing, which accommodated my SM465 setup. Well, while sitting on the ground, it is not possible (at least best I can figure) to remove the mounting bolts. I was able to get the flywheel loose, but there isn't enough room to get it "out". Next up, raise the whole motor a few inches with hoist, remove the F flywheel, bolt on the 2F bell housing, and reinstall the flywheel. That's for another day though!

And yes, I was offering to help Johnny drink Ramon's beer.

If your definition of "just sitting around drinking Ramon's beer" @Fort Knox is the same as JC's, bring it!!! Y'all know all too well he was laying on the ground and a hand in everything - such the modest dude.

 R

ETA - In all honestly you are more than welcome to come hang an literally just drink beer and sit around. I love the company

Yeah, Johnny's never been much of a "sit back and watch" kinda guy! Seriously though, I'm outta town this weekend, but after that, if y'all need a hand, just give a holler!

Bout to get real!

Mmmmmmm.

Find a machine shop to machine the back half of the split case yet?

Some progress:
Split transfer case rebuilt with AA 4:1 gears. Took a lot of time and patience to relieve the case as necessary to fit the gears. However, with a bit of patience and my little die grinder and roll locks, I saved myself the $375 AA charges to do this for you!

Nice BIG gears!!!

Aluminum is far more fun than steel!!!

2FE / H55F / 4:1 split case between the rails!! Getting a little closer...
