Really its not a brake line? I notice a leak "not dripping" but it doesn't smell like fuelfuel return and evap
You could trace it back to see where it's going. More context such as general location would be helpful.Really its not a brake line? I notice a leak "not dripping" but it doesn't smell like fuel
Yeah its under passenger seat. I'll get down there and follow them. You could trace it back to see where it's going. More context such as general location would be helpful.
But I would trust Gnob, he really knows his stuff. Besides I've never seen brake lines run that way.
Did ya confirm what it was? Brake lines run along the frame rails.Yeah its under passenger seat. I'll get down there and follow them.
Definitely fuel/evap - had a leak/repair in that
How did you end up fixing itFunny you mention the smell. I was baffled as to what those lines were at first - because of the smell and the look/feel of whatever was coming off the line(s). It smelled more like gear oil... but that made no sense - our trucks don't have "gear oil lines."
It turned out to be both. There was a fuel AND a leak from the t-case at the output flange - gear oil traveling up the shaft splines, past the flange and slinging out - right here:

Crawl under there and see if the t-case is leaking. The good news is, it's not a difficult/expensive fix.
uhh... dropped it off at ACC Garage. But the tech said it came down to cleaning the splines and flange adding some RTV.How did you end up fixing it
So the actual lines weren't leaking?uhh... dropped it off at ACC Garage. But the tech said it came down to cleaning the splines and flange adding some RTV.
