What is this for on my 2f water pump?

What is this outlet for? I do not have it on my 1f water pump and did a 2f swap. Where does it go?

It goes to the oil cooler on the 2f.

If you don't have an oil cooler, you can just cap it off. Some people have mounted an auxilliary temp gauge there.....I remember a couple threads about this.....

Yup, I stuck the temp sender for my Autometer gauge in that hole...

Is there a reason you would prefer to stick a temp sender there instead of on the block?
