What is this bracket for? (1 Viewer)

Working on a 74 tub to put on my 78. There is a bracket behind the door pillar. I don't have one on my 78. Any ideas?

Thanks, but I should've been more clear. So around the bend from the cover bolt, there is a bracket or channel on the backside of the door pillar. If you run your finger down the back of the door pillar between it and the gas tank filler.

Ohh gotcha, it's on both sides of my tub too. Don't think anything goes there to my knowledge. Some sort of bracing maybe? The bolt above it is to secure the top pin, but other than that idk.

I just looked at my 78 again, and it is there too. Maybe to bolt the rear quarter panels to the door pillar?

Believe it just to align the tub. There are two bolts on each A pillar to do the same thing. I split a section of tub I was given at the B pillar and had to remove bolts before cuting the welds. Tubs were not put together by robots back then.
