What international model 80?

I have been looking for seat covers and I have found different vendors mostly in OZ and South Africa. They list VX, GX, GXL and so on for models of Land Cruiser and I was wondering what my designation would be? I have power seats with leather, lumbar and adjustable side bolster on the driver's seat, the second row has the arm rests in the center. What would that be?

I think the VX has the leather power seats. I recall CDan saying the VX stands for Very Expensive... not sure if he was joking or not.

AFIK VX is the top trim, and I am 100% sure the second row came with arm rests in the center.

X2 the GX trim it's for cloth seats and full manual .. also here are for non turbo engines, with no sun roof or center console freezer.

All are expensive. The lady from Melvill and Moon quoted me:

80GX (2 buckets, bench with/without headrests) R4100.00

80VX (2 buckets, 50/50 split bench, jump seats) R4300.00

I don't know what the exchange is, but it can't be good. I'm guessing 800USD

Not to hijack but what about the GX-R trim level? I thought that was the top of the line in certain markets.

I thought the VX-R is the top of the line since it has everything. It has the leather seat MoGas has mentioned above.

Well for the Aussie market of course there is no GX-R trim. I belive though it is the top trim in the middle east, so I assume there is no vx-r in that market.

My cruiser is a GX-R and it's not top of the line! We do have VX-R cruisers here in Kuwait! Most of the ones that are sold in the dealerships are VX-Rs and you have to order the others or get them from a car lot!

GX-R it's the top of the line in the GX section .. it means that you could have some " toys " from the VX trim that are more work and off road oriented ..
