Yep,
That's the only way I see them coming out without moving the window frame.
Was hoping for a magical steel flexable pin so i did not have to grind mine.

eBay maybe?:

eBay Malaysia Seller: cjpluto: items on eBay.com.my

But without grease nipples on the hinges - I suspect the plastic bushes may last longer.......My 2c

That's the guy. $22.00 Buy Now price. He ships fast.

U can put a nipple on if u think that will help. Someone on mud has had his in since 1983 and still going strong. I still have the plastic ones in case these don't work out.WD40 seems to lube them nicely.

You could grind them down or you could put them in upside down, the tape worked for me.

Put the hard top on for what passes for winter here in Texas; need to use the 40 for a DD while I R&R the tranny tailhousing seal and do some machine work on same on the FJC.

Some of the fasteners from the hard top to the top of the windshield are now difficult to get to and tighten with the MetalTech cage in. Kind of forgot how much I really like having the top on - if it weren't so damned hot here in the summer I would probably leave it on all the time. Of course, by next spring/summer I will take it off again and remember how much I liked having the top off too!

World's Longest Brake Job

Finally finishing up the rear brakes on the BJ. Elapsed time is measured in weeks - not hours or even days. How did I do it?

1) Disassemble
2) Order parts
3) Wait for parts to arrive
4) Clean parts for re-use
5) Order more parts that can't be reused
6) Wait for parts to arrive
7) Wait for good weather
8) Do something else
9) Finally, put it back together

Before and after. Plus a modified pressure bleeder to work with the BJ brake master cylinder:

A couple of buds installed new leaf springs with 4.5 inches of lift, and I was able to take it out for its inaugural trail run. It performed splendidly.

Mounted the Jr West Coast mirror from the BJ40 on the passenger side of the BJ42. I did the driver side a few weeks ago. Hurray! I can finally see to back up again. The stock mirrors are totally inadequate.
Sorry, don't have any pics at the moment.

FJ55 got my om617, talked to Luke at 4x4labs for my adaptor trying to get my winter project started.
