had time to mount another panel. This one I’ll park outside and see how long it will keep the fridge cold.

I’ve broken fronts and rears Matt. Even busted a trail tailor extended. The 100s are really loose with over steer when they’re disconnected. The back end is always trying to pass the front!

I wanted to do a small test patch to see if I can still TIG weld but when I started grinding to find some steel to weld to I didn't find much. So I got a large test patch. It's quite rough. There's so much metal to replace that it didn’t make much sense to do a bunch of hammer work yet. I put a little rattle can red on so I can keep driving it. Overall, pretty successful. I can still weld. I'm not as good as I used to be, but it'll come back. At the end of the day there's one less giant hole in the side of my 40, and I'm pleased with that.

Swapped out the ABS system on the 100... stops on a dime now.

What have I been doing with my Toyota? Been driving it! To all my family and friends that volunteered their time to make this happen, thank you!

Looks amazing Darren! I can't imagine how stoked you are after all that work! Way to go!

Digging into my 40's wiring issues... do it once and do it right.

Finally installed my Artec 3G Front Bumper. Still need to order a 30" light bar. The Rough Country Cree LED SR Black didn't fit.

Some questions are best answered in person.
So far this trip. Picked up loose large rock into a fender. Slashed two sidewalls. And blew a rear ARB. Been running these rigs pretty hard. Shipping them home soon to refit and send back out again soon.

The way you play in the dirt looks like a whole lot more fun than the ways I used to get sent to play in the dirt. Then again, the folks you're with are likely a lot better at playing in the dirt than the groups I was with.

Welp, thought I might as well throw this out there...I installed new Falcon shocks (all 4 corners) two months ago, and now it is easy to see that just my driver's side coil in the front is rubbing pretty hard on the shock body. Upon closer look, I can see that the coil and shock are not concentric. That the shock sits closer to the "tire side" of the assembly. However, both sides look the about the same, and only have the issue on the drivers. (FYI, I have OME 2885 springs with these Falcon Sport Tow/Haul set on the tallest setting, plus I hammered on them pretty well last week in Colorado...that was a fun road trip!)

Anyone else have a similar issue before? General thoughts? I will likely have time to tear it apart this weekend and see if the tops of each can shift around at all. Thanks for any insights.

Just installed ICON Stage 3 lift kit with add a leaf for about 3" more clearance. Also installed the much needed hood struts this weekend (should have come stock). Off to get an alignment next, and bigger shoes soon.

that is one clean 5 year old taco, what kind of fuel mileage do you get with that one. thinking about updating the 02 and debating between the 4 and v6

@elkun1, 18-20 mpg not towing. Get the stick if you do get one and you got to go with the v6. The automatic has an AI interface which causes all of the shifting problems reported online. It constantly hunts for gears. You could get a pedal commander or something else, but just get a manual. Better gas mileage too. And I would look for a 2016 or 2017, cause that's the last year that they made one with out all of the electronic driver assist crap [adaptive cruise control and Toyota Safety Sensors (TSS)].

thanks for the reply, they sure haven't improved the mileage over the years, thats what i'm getting with the 84.87 and 02. but darn that is clean, i haven't been to blue lake for a couple years but i think it'll have some love scratches from the brush on it if that's what you're taking. however, i'm a bad one to talk after taking the 40 on an adventure less than a week after we painted it. don't know if i've mentioned it but darn that is clean
