I didn't see the signs last weekend, wonder if they're new
Definitely new. One was posted on a tree 50 yards into the trail, we thought maybe we missed it on the way in. The trail head has a legit barricade and another sign. We for sure didn't miss that on the way in. The bridge was fine, maybe they need to inspect it.

We’ll I’m in Ressler last week looking at the 40 I heard they had on the floor (looks to be a SA import w unknown miles but possibly a good restore, I mean no offense if it’s anyone’s here it’s a beautiful truck, but it’s billed as all original) just for research purposes. Told a buddy from church in sales watch for a gx460 for the wife over the next year (she’s ready to replace the old minivan we’ve raised three boys in) that meet my specs. He had a ‘08 570 enroute w 66k on the clock. Over a week goes by, haggling, researching, camping, MUD 200 talking,….. time to detail the minivan :) she ended up in the driveway tonight :)

I picked up an AutoHome Columbus RTT last week. Currently fabricating a new roof rack mounting system so I can swap my full roof rack for the tent as needed. These are pretty nice and it seems well made. I tried the whole RTT thing back in ‘07-‘08 and wasn’t as impressed as I was hoping. This one is light weight 120# or so and shouldn’t ding the MPG as much as my old school tent did. I guess I’ll know soon enough if this is my way forward.

@REZARF Cool tent! Just got a roofnest, but it turns out I need to add some thick rubber pieces to space it out so that the ratchets clear the rack.. :bang: Yours looks like it'll be much better on the MPG than mine. What do you need to fabricate on your rack?

Hope you get that thing installed before the next meeting so I can check it out!

Dang nabbit. I forgot to give you and your fren stickers with ma dogs face on them. How am I gonna make this influencer thing work if I always forget
I'll grab a couple some other time and send him one in the mail.

Picked up my friends 40 on July 6th. Got it back to Bozeman and have been tearing into it this week. Removed the partial hard top and swapped it for a full length bikini top. It sat for 2 years so Tuesday I rebuilt the carb, redid the fuel delivery by going from an electrical pump back to the OEM mechanical fuel pump. Replaced the engine oil, trans, tcase and both diffs. It also turned over really slow, so I replaced the battery terminals, redid the main starter lead and redid the main grounds and it now turns over like it's supposed to. Just been driving it now and it is fantastic! Still a lot of electrical to clean up but it's safer and wired better now than before

I love using the fenders of my 40 as a temporary toolbox too.

Just finished installing new Toyota F & R sway bar bushings as well as a LCP quick disconnect kit for the front sway bar. Man, that rubber was janky! The preliminary assessment is good but I'm looking forward to testing the new-found flex on the trail...

Attempted to install my new icom ic-2730a ham radio in my 80 tonight. Ran out of battery in the soldering iron so it'll get finished in the AM before work. It's a dual band 50 watt radio with cross and repeat which is nice for when I'm away from camp with a handheld. Used a scanstrut phone mount to secure the face plate. That scanstrut mount is solid. Also ran new coax and got a Larson 2/70b antenna. Transmitting and receiving should be way better with this setup than my cheap Chinese junk I had before

Made it home, started to clean it, and removed the hideous TEQ emblem

Added a real latch to the 40 swingouts tonight. The 4plus bumper is stout but the cam handle/hitch pin just doesnt work for me. Destaco 2000 lb latch with clasp so it can't open accidentally. Smooth one handed operation!

Replaced another sway bar end link. This time outside of Anaconda.
The broken one on the left lasted less than a year, a Napa part.
The one on the right is my trail spare that a guy in Moab welded up from original busted one last November.
Maybe Hundys just go through end links? Or maybe the answer lies in the @ttFJC approach and I should ditch the sway bars altogether. :hillbilly:
