What gets glue off from wood kit?

I decided to remove the wood kit from my interior last night. I got all of the gray stick-um tape off, but there's still some residue left on the plastic. I've seen "Goof-off" in stores, will this work without ruining the plastic? Thanks in advance.

I used "3M wax, tar, and adhesive remover" (or something like that). Comes in a little metal bottle and is found near the automotive paint & sandpaper at Wal-Mart and other discount retailers. Works great!

Use a product called De-solv-it. It is a citrus based cleaner that works really good on this kind of stuff and contains no petroleum products so it will not harm the plastic. Apply some and let it set for a couple of minutes reduces the elbow grease required. This stuff is sold at Wal-Mart in both the grocery and paint departments.

For about $2.50, low odor mineral spirits would also probably do the trick. Try it in a small inconspicuous spot first.. blah, blah, blah..

Flat tip screw driver. Don't be a butcher though, use a quality Snap-on or Matco

I used my Matco plastic trim removal tool. Then I used some bug, tar, sap remover. Worked out good. Then, I repainted my center caps, and clearcoated. Now to get rid of those horrid gold emblems!!

The 3m stuff works good, and doesn't mar the plastic. But the best way is to rub the hell out of it with your thumb. It heats up pretty quickly, and peels off. The only down side to the thumb method is that it will actually blister you.
