What full size quad cab truck would you choose for N.A. Expedition? I would build a low profile camper on the back.
I had an 05 trd Tundra that I Loved, I think I would probably go with that, or maybe a diesel Chevy/Ford.

What do you think?

A little more info... What terrain do you plan to cross? Where in NA do you plan to go? Any Mexico? Any rock crawling? Medium to hard fire trails?

Mexico, Canada, and US. A lot of dirt roads, and cross country . A little of everything from pavement to rocky trails.

if you are planning on doing any wheeling, i would shy away from any of the newer Fords...

Tundra - I'd take the "biggest one" over the "big three" any day. I wish Toyota would sell commercial trucks in North America. I'd settle for diesel powered Tacos and Tundras. I just don't get it.

Look at Michael's thread here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/expedition-builds/303089-2008-tundra-xedition-build.html

That Tundra did extremely well during 1500 miles of often really bad roads, from salt swamps to rock trails and deep sand.
cheers,
Jan

This is difficult to answer. It depends on the terrain and amount of money you want to spend.
A 1st gen tundra modified would be great.
If I had a choice though I'd get a 7.3 PS diesel ford, 6 spd, exteneded cab (not double cab way too long)
Diesel Power has one just like this and they do long trips into the middle of the Cali, Arizona and Utah deserts with it. It does great. Check out their build.
