What do you guys think about a Steering Wheel Cover?
I have a 2002 LX470 with a wood Steering Wheel.
Its in like new condition but I think I would prefer a wheel that is thicker and less slick.
Don't want to mess up the wood though.

Interested in what you find out here. I have a MY2000 with a leather steering wheel that is completely worn out and ugly. Cant get anyone to replace it, got the leather seats redone but cant get the steering wheel done. Any insights appreciated!

They are spend AF but Dallas Customs does a great job, I finally bit the bullet and bought one and it's perfect. I messaged him on Ebay, asked when he'd have one for my LC, he said he had one that was about to be listed and I bought it as soon as it listed that way I didn't have to live without my steering wheel and send it off. Otherwise you can ship yours to him and he'll refurb it but you'd need a loaner steering wheel or not drive the LC for a couple of weeks.

Like everything else in the world right now, the price on these has gone up recently too.

what is the level of difficulty to take off the steering wheel off and putting it back on? Is there something on this forum that helps with that?

It's pretty straight forward, disconnect battery, pop 2 trim plates off of the sides undo screws underneath (torx), partially pull airbag unit off to disconnect all connectors, remove main nut on steering shaft, then use a steering wheel puller to pop off the wheel. Its time consuming but the Lonky leather kits are pretty good for the money. If I remember correctly its easier with the Cruise Control Switch removed as well.

See above excellent post by PhatDragon but I'll say you can probably do it without the puller. Just get two hands on the back side of it and give it some motivated hits, should pop right off.
