What did you do with your Tundra or Sequoia this weekend? (13 Viewers)

I ordered new front struts and Toyo RT Trails for the Sequoia. The Tundra will get no more love until it’s lease is up. Then it will get stripped of all “cool” parts, and dropped off like a red headed stepchild.

I have installed the Redarc Brake Controller today. Its as easy as advertised. I used velcro to mount the controller body
to the bracket below steering column. Used supplied plug on the lower panel just to the right of the steering wheel.
I had to remove PO wiring as they had a Tekonsha (which was long gone) and plugged the supplies harness to the factory
plug up above the fuse box. It took longer to vacuum the door sill than the install.
Tundra is the easiest interior I've ever had to work on and I've been working on cars interiors for 45 yrs.

I enjoy my 3rd Gen Sequoia. 🤷‍♂️
Pfft.. Sequoias don't belong on ih8mud. Only real trucks and cruisers.

Actually, T100 is the only truck that should be allowed on Mud.

No, nevermind -- cruisers only.

Sorry, if you don't have a 40 series you can leave.

MUD IS ONLY FOR THE OG BJ AND J20!

Screw it-- Does anyone own one of the AK's other than the LC Heritage museum? Maybe they should be the only ones allowed on this site.

No idea how the Mickey Thompsons I picked up a couple weeks ago will work in the snow, but they've been quiet and smooth on the road and have been good for the offroading I've done so far with them. They wrap around rocks like a python around a toddler, and they have some of the biggest side lugs I've ever seen. Aired down to 15 PSI (255/85-17s) under my Sequoia, the contact patch is about a foot long.
I had no idea this size was available now.... 👀 Running 285/75r17 toyo r/t trails on my tundra currently, but I was thinking I'd go to the kenda 35x10.5 next. Guess I'll have to look at this option from Mickey Thompson as well

I just fact checked this and it's real and true!!! Sorry everybody!!!

I think the 3rd Gen Sequoias (and Tundras) are very good looking when lifted and on 35s. I haven’t driven one, and likely won’t as I am keeping my 1st Gen Sequoia for a long time, and my next new vehicle (in coming spring) 99% wont be a Toyota. As excited as I was for the 250 series, both my wife and I find them very “meh” in person. There is a slim chance the new 4Runner might impress her once it shows up, but at the moment we are looking in other directions. The next new one will be another lease for the business, so resale matters very little, and Toyota and reliability have not been overly synonymous of late.

I was installing power points in my 3rd gen until a water pipe decided to break in my wall detailing my car project today...

Have you done suspension etc yet, or is it still stock?

In pics. Under LH taillight. How to replace the support strut for 2007-2013 ( maybe to 2021 ) Tundra. Part number for my 2010. 30 m hex, fine pry tool, 10 min.
Clip on the lower post first. The shock will be too long. Close the tailgate. Clip the upper end on. Simple.
