Wont have it home in time...plus soccer is still in full swing for the kids.

Does the tdi count?

Changed oil and fuel filter as well as armoralled the interior. Broke the dipstick tube :( common on these as it's plastic and brittle. Last weekend I installed a diesel geek shifter, egr delete, shifter boot and knob, and a boost gauge.

Lol broke the dipstick handle on mine the day I bought it.

A little twin stick love

Fixing some leaky heater core blues and attacking the vsv's trying to rid a 401 and stalling issue

Yeah. Still unsure of actual problem but with a persistent 401 now I am more attacking it at the moment.

And the best part wasnt just fixing it. But making it better too.

Defrost flapper has never fully shut to force warm air up to windshield. While apart I noticed a PO had previously "fixed" it by re welding one side of the pivot to the housing. However it was not square so the flapper would bind and not shut. So out came the air chisel and welder and it works perfect now.

New tre s and steering stabilizer on the 80, 3 were loose, one was like a golf ball in a coffee cup..spent more time trying to get it aligned than anything else...

Removed old busted power steering cooler (18 years of rust made it way more difficult than it should have been). Then installed new mo' betta power steering cooler and new low pressure lines. My high pressure lines are already fairly new. I had to cut the old system out in pieces.

Oh, also moved my passenger seat back manually since it's all geeked up. I pulled it part and all the gears look ok, that little white plug is just stripped out again already. I don't know what's going on with it. I'm thinking the two rails that it moves on are out of whack and causing the plug to strip every time it gets moved.

Installed some cheap-o LEDs on the Tacoma. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KBQWR5Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=
Thought this is awesome! For $50 I got me some killer headlights.
However now when I turn on my new lights my radio goes all to static :bang:
The manufacturer is a Chinese knock off company and there is zero chance of return.

So I did some research and found that there is a chance that if I install a Ferrite Core Shield on my wires that it will hopefully knock out that radio interference. http://www.amazon.com/Fair-Rite-043...1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383339952&sr=8-1-fkmr0

What also stinks is that the factory grommets that keep dirt/water out of the headlights no longer fit. So I did my best to cover them with some tape to seal out the elements.

On the plus side the lights do work, they are much better brightness wise than stock.

Oh you are slowly entering the realm of the Mafia....kinda like the Jedi, there is always one in training!

I haven't really seen the benefits of led headlights to this point. Brighter isn't always better. The hid kit I had in the 4runner seemed to be awesome until I started paying attention. Visibility was much lower even though they were brighter.

I got a set of Lifetime headlights from Steve and I am mixed. They are very nice and with some trimming was able to use them with the factory rubber. They are noticeably brighter on ow beam but not too impressive on high. Reason is the low beam diode only fires into half the housing. To get high it fires a second diode in the opposite direction. My guess is in order to stay legal they have to use a much lower powered high beam diode, so the light output in high is only marginal better, if not possibly worse, then stock. The high beam doesn't really have the throw that I remember with the halogen bulbs. The radio thing isn't just the knock-offs, maybe worse but not isolated. With my lights on I get strong local stations without interference but weak stations or anything from the next town over you can forget. They sent me some little boxes to plug in line and said to make sure there was no metal contact with the ballast and the body. Grounding seems to be a major problem with them. This I haven't sorted completely and I may be able to eliminate this with more investigation.

Overall I would give them a B-. I really like the low beam output and they pair with my LED fogs nicely. If I can get the raduo interference sorted then I will bump them up to an A- but the lack of high beam output will keep them from getting any higher. If you have a rig with seperater high and low bulbs then you may not have this issue.

I have an OEM hand throttle in the mail to me in preparation for my winch. Will also be very handy for running my air compressor.
