Just about buttoned up my trailer project this past weekend, minus a couple of reflectors and some sections of plywood to cap the tub. Also discovered I need to lengthen the trailer harness (forgot about that after lengthening the tongue)! Don't really need lights in GA, as long as you can see the lights on my FJC, but other states may frown on it.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors trailor!:hillbilly:

Almost finished my $18 sleep platform/storage. Just in time for the ACC event. I'll finish her up in the morning.

ACC Fall Gathering was quite a success. Perfect weather Friday and Saturday. One squall came through around 8 or 9pm, but only lasted about 30-40min. Built a big roaring fire in anticipation of the rain and it stayed burning the whole time.

Got some good trail time on 2/1, 21, 14 and 42. We arrived on Saturday about noon and there was an XJ that had just ripped both ball joints from the front pass-side axle. He was on the Hellivator bypass and nose pointed up the hill. Once the ball joints let go, he severed a brake line. The wheel ripped right out from under it and looked like a front mounted spare. Somebody will have pics soon. Pretty incredible carnage. They safely got him off the mtn and back to camp.

[edit] found a pic...

Damn.

I finished the shop. Still have two motors back at home but i'm ready for business. First truck came in this morning. A white 62 with a rusty frame. Where is David Davis when you need him. Also looks like I'm putting a 1hdt in an 80 this winter.

Up and running great!!!! But looks just like it did a few weeks back. Give it a while and it'll have stuff stuck everywhere just like some other locations I won't dare to mention(mine for one). :)

Congrats! and that is a lot of eggs :D best wishes in the venture

Here it was rotate tires and add greasable shackles on the 45.
Why does no one have a M12 1.5 when you need one ?

I am available on weekends. Will work for beer. I hate rust. (New board?). It would, however, be the odd couple.

So how does it feel to have the shop ready to go?

It's nice. It's clean and best yet it is nice to have all my tools in one spot with room.

The egg crates were from a band that used to practice in a third of my shop. I took a bunch down but decided it looked kind of cool. It's grown on me.

The shop looks good!!

I'll be calling you soon about my 80. My wife should be back from Cali after the 14th so I'm going to have to wait till then to get it up to you.

'Nice shop! The metric nuts and bolts trays are great. Where did you buy them and how much does a tray cost? Having these on hand would save a lot of time and fuel going back and forth to the hardware store. How easy are they to refill?
