Did you paint the wheels yourself? If so, what paint and color did you use?

Ride looks great!

Thanks,

First i took the wheels down to metal, hindsight I would have paid to sand blast them.
Then I used a self etching primer, 3 coats.
Duplicolor wheel paint in Graphite, 3 coats.
2 coats of duplicolor wheel clear coating.

All I did was program my Yaesu FT-7900r. Big thanks to @chap79 for his extensive repeater list ;)

I like the flat primer look or the gloss primer. What color is that primer? Looks light green on my computer.
The primer doesn't have a color on it. My son called it "clay" and he's not far off. With the gloss, which would be important for cleaning (yeah, I do that on my 80s), more green/olive comes out.

Yeah RTV isn't going to work there at all, even JB Weld will burn out right there, you need a plate.

Yes. It's getting plugged. Fighting getting that nut off so I can plug it properly. For now it will get RTV. I don't think that's under pressure...

I gave up on the EGR pipe and filled it with JB Weld. I stuffed little balls of it down in it then pushed it in with a screwdriver. It's red neck as all get out but I was running out of patience and daylight.

Got the valve cover seal, plug seals, plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor all done. Replaced some vacuum hoses too.

And didn't break the nipple on the radiator. Used a piece of 1/2" birchply to lay down. It wedged in nicely between the radiator cap and battery box.

She purrs like a kitten and I noticed she's a little bit peppier. I'll do a 0-60 time tomorrow to see if there is a difference.

Almost forgot, finally removed all of the stupid PAIR system. That was pretty simple. Need to order the OEM block off plates. I made some redneck ones in the meantime.

Do you think the steelstik JB Weld stuff will hold up? It says it is good to 900 degrees...

I continued the "re-purposing" I began on Low-budget Gear and Sleeping Platform
This evening I took an old magnetic screen door thingy and turned it into bug screens for the two backdoor windows and the driver's side sliding third-row window. The screen on the door windows doesn't go all the way to the bottom, but I won't be rolling them down all the way anyway (don't want the boogie man getting me). And since my sleeping platform is on the passenger side, I only made a screen for the driver's side (boogie man thing again). And yes, I know that persistent small bugs can still get in around the edges of the screen, but at least it will slow down, and maybe stop, the the big lazy ones.

It is going to be close. I would guess the temp out of the exhaust ports is right at 750-1000 degrees depending on load.

Gotta get you into a proper '93 brass radiator...you're more likely to break the radiator out of its bracket leaning on it than screw up the nipple. :)

Did a bunch of small things and got the fox 2.0 shocks and ome 850/860 lift installed. Put the taller spring (b I think?) on the driver side. The passenger side is now 1" higher, it looks terrible:mad:. The last shock I did ended up being doa so I had to put the busted stocker in for now:mad:. That and my android head unit fried, not a good weekend

Had a good weekend testing my new suspension setup with fox shocks and old man emu coils. Results were great! Love the smooth ride over the rocks and the firmer ride at higher speeds. Also got to try out the Slee rock sliders a couple of times. Worked fantastic as well. Testing was done up Hancock and Tincup pass.

Wiring harness I made for clutch switch and relay

SO MUCH BENDING

Worth it in the end :)

No pics but I purchased a few things for my Cruiser's birthday. Let's see....

1. Purchased gears and caps from gamiviti for passenger seat, which hasn't worked since I bought my rig. (Damn their shipping was FAST)

2. Purchased new seat skins from Lseat aftern chatting with @RiFF RaFF and seeing his pics. Stoked for these to come in.

3. Talked to @NLXTACY on sat eve and purchased his FEM. (yes, he was working at 8pm MST when he should have been spending time with his beautiful wife. Instead he was brainstorming ways to make your Cruiser more reliable and safer)

4. Found a recline button for the passenger seat at the local junk yard. (which has also been missing since I purchased my Cruiser)

Can't wait to get started on this project once all the pieces arrive. Oh, and I'm anxiously awaiting tailgate storage from @reevesci which I think (??) should be finished up in the next week or two.

After all these upgrades arrive and are complete its drawer system time.

Per my conversation with the cutters on Friday, the lids should be finished up on the 28th (+/- a day) and shipped to me. I hope to have them finished up and shipped a few days after that.

No hurry, seriously.

That's a project that doesn't change whether or not my wife will ride in the passenger seat. However, cracked leather, foam on her ass, and a non-reclining seat, make for a grumpy wifey.

Not to mention I have another project in mind I'm hoping you can help me with.
