Ahh.. ok..

Today I added rear OCD adjustable anti sway bar links. Much heavier duty then oem.. I have the fronts but am holding off on that install and will do it at the same time I install the 700lb springovers up front.

Im not sure the washer/cone stack is correct. I'll send this pic to ocd to verify. BTW I straightened out that parking brake cable guide that's cocked in this pic.

View attachment 3297301First real project on the wife’s GX, lovin it. Obvious signs of seepage on one side of the crossover so pulled that to ‘help’ get at the starter bolts, gaskets on the way. The throttle body and starter connectors broke when I breathed on them so those are on order as well as all the injector rubber bits, plus, a few hoses and a pcv. Definitely a bit discouraging to find out how brittle all her bits are, not something I noticed or even thought of on the pre purchase inspection…
Dreading the day I have to replace the starter! How was the project going in? Might have to order some of those extra bits you were talking about before I do!

I’m dreading the day that I have to do this again on my LX…It’s still on going as I’m waiting on some of the parts still. Supposed to arrive today but my weather window will probably push it til this weekend. It’s really not that bad, by that I mean it completely sucks in many ways! But it really is a patience game and just tedious. The starter bolts are the worst part, particularly the blind one, both out and in. I got the new(Toyota reman) starter in today, replaced the busted connectors and put in the new pcv. I’m thinking once it’s all together I’ll post part #s to help any poor sap that happens to see/need it.

I'll come right back when I am the poor sap in need of help 😂😂

Judging by your fuel gauge, you've gone about 80 miles on this tank, lol! All joking aside, congrats on the milestone. I love mine every day...even at the pump.

Took pictures of my OEM wheels. I sent the images to Detroit Wheels to see if they want to buy them .
Here's 1 of the 5

Damn - what is your process?? Looks great!
Simple green, rags, compressed air blowing while using different size brushes starting with a toothbrush then going up. . Those covers had been on there, since 2008. Under the main cover, it's surprising how dust just freakin lays in there and sets up everywhere. I spent a couple few hours on it, gently scrubbing, blowing air and wiping.

I'm getting ready to install this yota nation engine bay light so I decided to clean the thing up.

Installed that light a few weeks ago and love it. Tons of light, easy install. Was a bit of a pain finding somewhere for to mount the hood switch.

Appreciate the tips! Will give that a try next time I detail.

I'm taking the hood and bypass switches out of the picture and do a simple power and ground setup with a robust toggle switch on a bracket.. I could see with plastic trim up front installing the hood switch would be a cluster.

Nice setup and reasonably priced. Will add this to my mod list and try to wire it with a fuse tap that is only powered when the IGN is on (to avoid a battery drain).

Nice! That’s a great idea. I may look to do something similar now that you’ve mentioned it.

They kinda market it like,, open the hood and angelic music plays as the light automatically comes on...F that..

Edit.. Lol.. I do hear Angel's sing when I open the hood..

Anyway.. I'm thinking.. just give me a good switch, fused power and clean ground. I'm done.. I'll turn the thing on and off when I want..

Alright, PAUSE! I have to ask if you painted your engine over or if you got a new one? That Black looks so good!
Interesting.. apparently, some intake manifolds are gray and others black. Could be earlier years are gray?
