Dash has to be cut... .but there's a template on the bottom side for you to follow. Plug and play.

I found this one on eBay marketplace as NEW OEM parts never used. Cheaper than ordering from overseas. Unfortunately the seller wasn't telling the truth. The plastic lens covering the display and the buttons had been painted black almost like a thick over spray if that makes sense. Seller refused to discount and said that I did it. Had to go through PayPal disputes. Ended up getting a very healthy discount.

Score! Were you able to remove the paint or did you just leave as-is? What did you use to cut the dash?

Goop remover got most of it off. Totally removed it off the buttons. Took the unit apart to remove the lens and polished it out like a headlight. It was totally unusable from the seller. Couldn't see the display through it.

Used a cutoff wheel......makes a mess. Dremel didn't have bigg enough wheels to get through it.

Just curious was this the dude selling just the monitor without the cover and front trim?

Fixing the rat nest of wiring from when I first installed my head unit, and swapping out the sun plug with 1 port for a usb plug with 2 ports. No clue why I thought it was a good idea to run the second usb cable into my glove box.

Ashamed of this wiring disaster 😂

Wiring is all done. Head unit and HVAC controls all work…but the green LEDs on the seat warmer switches don’t work all of a sudden…but the orange LED does when I turn them on…

Everything is plugged in

Any thoughts?

The old incandescent bulbs become pretty fragile. Even popping the panel out can kill the bulbs. I removed that middle switch panel a few times and my bulbs went out. The seat heaters I think have both the incandescent (green) and the LED indicator so that’s probably why the indicator is good but the green backlight is dead.

Wait - those little green bulbs are incandescent??

Yes. The ones with the green tinted color caps are incandescent
Well that is obnoxious. Makes sense why they’re so sensitive. Wish there were LEDs that color-matched the OEM green. Everything I’ve seen using LEDs, the green is too bright and looks off compared to the other buttons =\

Rotated tires, welded in NTK Fabrication body mounts and installed catalytic converters into my URD Racing mid pipe.
Busy weekend!

Are those the Marlin Crawler LCA braces, and where did you get the hexagonal alignment cams? Has your alignment been stable and within spec with that setup? I'm thinking of installing the braces after having my LCA bolts loosen and move over the weekend, although the bolts might have just been under-torqued by the alignment shop.

I didn't even know they had back lights. Always thought it was stupid that they didn't have it. How do I pop the switches out and replace? And where do you get these little bulbs?

Part no. 90010-01061.

So, there’s the easy way and the hard way to pull the switches. I’m nervous about doing the easy way because the harness on each switch really doesn’t have much give.

Easy way (proceed with caution)
Use an small flat head screw driver (think an eye glasses one) or a thin trim tool. Work it under the edge of the button and pry it up very gently. Then remove the plug for the harness, but wrap some wire around it or it will slide back under the panel. From there, the bulb is right on the side of the switch, and you just give it a quarter turn to pull it out.

Hard way (really just time consuming, not hard)
Pull up the center console. There’s detailed instructions here. Once it’s out, you can pop up the panel with the seat heater switches and unplug the harnesses. Then swap the bulbs.

If you order the bulbs, may want to order a couple extra. I had 1 that was DOA from the dealer, but they took it back and swapped it.

Yes, those are the Marlin LCA braces. They're nice. Mine were not compatible with the Total Chaos cam tab kit though. I ended up opting to do the LCA brackets as they protect that general area better than just cam tabs would.

The alignment tabs are from Bison Off-road. No complaints so far.

I got tired of having my alignment tweaked after every off-road trip with the factory hardware.
