I started trimming my running boards yesterday. Cut the top trim off and snipped the back portion by the rear wheels. Tomorrow I need to finish trimming the front section that sits behind the front wheels and then reinstall for the smooth, clean look.

Pressure control solenoid (p2714). I replaced the solenoid. Drove great for about 3 days and then went to s*** again. Seems there was an issue with the valve body that caused it to fail but I’m not sure. I started noticing delayed engagement early on and poor performance. Eventually it would take 20 seconds to achieve a speed of 45 mph lol. At the end it wouldn’t shift out of 2nd but hey, she never quit on me lol. Was getting worse on the drive from south Florida to Alaska but still made it. Got a tranny for 500 bucks out of California. 800 total shipped to Alaska. I’m not complaining and definitely beats the cost of a rebuild

Steamed the interior. Bought a few weeks ago and stripped down for a deep cleaning.

Wow...and I thought I could be fanatical about cleaning a new-to-me used vehicle. That's impressive.

Tow my daughter's car on U-Haul auto transport. Average 11.12 MPG over 165 miles. Towing right at 5000 Lbs. 2800 Lbs car and 2200 LBS auto transport. I was running 70-80 MPH and about 40% in 4th gear running 3500-3700 RPM. Did not use cruise control so I can feel when I need to kick it down to 4th gear.

4.30 gear with 33" tires. About 7% over geared.
Set helper airbag at 20 PSI and Toughdog adjustable to 5 Front and 6 Rear. Normally only run 4 front and 2 rear. Suspension does not sag at all. Love the flexibility of adjustable suspension with helper airbag.

Beside a bit of tugging and jerking from the trailer it actually did not do too bad. I was confident at 80 MPH.

Today: installed Vais sl3-b Bluetooth unit. Absolute breeze of an install. Took 30 minutes, and no trim tabs broke on the faux wood panels. Great Bluetooth unit, and I can change tracks in Spotify with the steering wheel.

yesterday: installed freshly repaired speakers. Shop here in Atlanta repaired the 2 6x9 front speakers and the sub for $80. They sound phenomenal now.

this week: installed new rear rotors and pads, gx460 front calipers, rotors and pads. All oem. Great deal from butler Toyota south Atlanta on parts. Had a local lexus shop flush the brake fluid.

combined with the new lower control arms, kdss recalibration and an alignment, this is the best driving truck I’ve ever had. Drove a couple hours today, and it’s like a new vehicle.

Finished trimming the running boards yesterday and got the trim back on this morning:
