What isn't nowadays...
$1000 plus shipping plus paying to have the TC shaved out to fit them plus a trip to Fredericksburg to have that done 😭 maybe in several years once this thing actually runs

If that is your thinking, put it together for mock up and once it is ready to go, then pull the case and do the gears. No need to go into it twice.

Might not be a bad idea. I also have a second case so I could get that one clearanced and ready for larger gears at some point down the line.

I got the first coat of color on over two coats of primer. Plan to lay down two more then let it bake in the garage till Saturday and get it on the 80.

So here is a rundown of late:

Tow guy snagged a bunch of wires and sheared them in firewall and busted / misaligned park neutral switch

Fix wiring, but despair as it is still no crank / start

Replace ignition relay and think i’ve got it sorted — no joy

Talk to swap harness / computer guy, he tells me how to jump P/N relay (easy enough)

Cranks and turns over a little, but won’t run

Go to fill with gas and realize I have a full tank of 6 mo old gas (overflowed filler neck all over me)

Today siphon out about 8/9 gallons of the old gas and mix in another 5 of fresh stuff and gas treatment (fwiw)

FINALLY:

I put a new TPS in. The scanguage 2 made it a cinch to adjust. Also pulled the EGR temp "test" kit and went back to stock. I checked my distributor cap and it was squeaky clean. Went for a drive and the hesitation was still there.

Then last night I got to thinking the first question Rob asked me was the hesitation there before I put the new fuel pressure regulator in? I said yes but the more I thought about it last night the less sure I was. So I put the old one back in this morning and so far no hesitation. The new one had a pinched o ring when I pulled it. Maybe it was sucking air through that? Too soon to tell but I'm hopeful.

david I should just say this Tuesday but I may forget. The amount of times you have said "no hesitation" cannot be counted 😂😂😂
