Nothing like some last minute repairs.

I heard the rear drivers side making noise yesterday so I'm I pulled the wheel this morning and there was nothing left on the pads. Surprised since they're really not that old. The rotor seems ok. I'll do both sides on the rear and I guess I should check the front too but it may have to wait till after fall crawl.
 
Tightened up parking brake and finished the drawer. Just cleaning out the truck and packing left to do.

Got a little more done today. Time to clean, paint and reassemble. I found that I tore the bell boot and will have to get a new one. I plan to order some RCV's for the 80 at the same time.

I noticed a slight stumble under load while driving back from fall crawl and when I was looking around for possible causes i found the intake tube was hard as a rock and kinda loose on the maf no matter how much I tightened the clamps. So I replaced it with New OEM today. I didn't have any stumbles after a short test drive but as always I'm cautiously optimistic.

That's the plan!

I've pretty much been doing little things for the 80 every week and I will continue until Moab. I also want to drive it as much as possible in the coming months too to find things like this hesitation now instead of in the middle of Oklahoma.

Gears will be a game changer if you decide to do them! may help with mpg as well ???
