Mocked up my new CVT awning on the trailer. Think it will work great on the " patio"

One step closer!! 01 Silverado runs and drives around. 4.8 w the 2wd 157k so everything I need and I can actually move it around easily before I pull the drivetrain. Cruiser towed totally fine was mostly worried about the hitch ripping off...

Modified blue hub fan clutch from Land tank installed.
Also drained the radiator and refilled it and "fixed" my exhaust leak at the y pipe. It was just loose and needed the nuts tightened.
I drove it about 25 miles with PWR and ac on and forced it into passing gear uphills. Highest temp I saw was 188. That's at least 10 lower than before. Needs more driving to be sure but so far so good.

Noticed the burnt oil smell was getting worse on the hundred.
My ps valve cover weep has graduated to a full blown leak. Also looks like the power steering pump and maybe high pressure line is leaking too.

Guess I'll have plenty to do after fall crawl even if I don't break anything on the 80.
I already ordered the gaskets and I'll probably get coils and plugs too while I'm at it.

Just did all of this on the white 100. Easy job hit me up if you have questions. You think power steering pump bad or just some crush gaskets for the lines??

thanks for the offer. Not sure yet I really haven't looked into it. with 320k on it I'll probably just replace though. did you break any of the valve cover bolts? apparently that's pretty common.

This could be a fun project to do in my yard with a few hecklers and a lot of YJ's. :hmm:

Yes replace all the bolts and get the tube seals for the spark plug holes. Might has well put plugs in too. Everyone I have done has had broken bolts, always the lower ones as they are through bolts and rust on the bottom side. lots of lube and turning in and out helps a lot. The drivers side back lower can be a pain if it breaks so be gentle. 1/4 drive is your friend on these.

Thanks
I figured I'd get coils and plugs too. I don't feel like it's an emergency but don't want to do it in the cold either so I'm on a timeline.
The kit I ordered from cruiser patch comes with grommets, gaskets Toyota goo, and new bolts. I got a new pcv Also.

That's sweet he put it together. All the bolts I pulled had smashed grommets so it's not just a "new bolt" thing. I didn't snap any but there was no rust on my engine at all. Didn't take much force to break them loose. I didn't pull all the half moons out as I could tell there were no leaks coming from there. I'll definitely help if I can find a time to make it up there

Been a hectic couple of weeks at work and trying to fit in cruiser time.

Finally have rear lift installed. Made rear bump stop extensions for inner and outer bump stops. Extended my sway bar links in the rear and got around to welding on passenger side lower link “slider”. On to a few pics.

Sway bar links cut, solid rod center and tubing on outside.

Barely enough room to get out the garage door.

look forward to seeing it next week @Toyodajunkie !
Progress on the drawer tonight I think I'm set to finish tomorrow evening for a debut this weekend. My staple gun sucked but the carpet is glued on there. may have to redo the folded edges at some point.

Looking good @FamilyCamper

Took the slum cruiser for its maiden voyage with the low range gears and man that thing is slow. Gonna be fun seeing all these trucks with the lower low.
