So are you selling it or not??

You buying it?
Maybe/probably...
I want to make sure it is what it is first...
That way I can put a fair price on it.

I really don't think there is anything wrong with it other than that fan and missing fan shroud.

I've seen how you baby it!! Sure I'll buy it :)

So Eric you happen to have a 3fe fan laying around?

Can't do it. But if I had the money it would have a 40 body on it in no time

And Zack I'm for sure wanting that shroud.
The fan flexes too much for a supercharged rig...
I'm guessing it flexes back and gets into the belt on the charger?

I got it all waiting in the truck.

and lorena would look better wearing a proffitts import 75 body.

I was gonna be all like, "Do the D-4D swap!!!"

Then I looked at what they cost.

Hoe---leeeee---schinto!!!

Don't they make a specific fan for the SC setup?

I was reading on the board in the 80 section that some of the people were recommending some other fan??? for better cooling on SC rig?

It's the 3fe fan I believe. I read the same thing and apparently the 3fe fan moves more air. Maybe the pitch of the blades is different.

Yes the kit comestibles with its own fan and shroud but people are going with the stock FZ shroud and fan out if a 62.

I couldn't find the right size studs anywhere... So I decided to just replace the water pump ($150 and easy to do)..
Well my dumb ass. Didn't think about the fact it wouldn't come with the nuts to hold the clutch on.
I could get them from toyota but that would take two more days.. Looks like I'm heading to lows.

By the way Hoover Toyota sucks! Every time I deal with some one up there the act like an a****** and. They know nothing about their cars this isn't just the cruiser but the Avalon too.
I now drive across town to limbaugh.

Holy s*** what a week

So....
We have 3 dogs..
The oldest, Laney a 13 year old lab, stopped eating and stared crapping every where. Brought Her to a friend of mine who is a vet. He thinks she might have intestinal cancer and cyrosis of the liver.
He is not sure but if it is she has a year maybe.

So last night I get home and notice our dog Zinn (spelled right ; German word for puter because of her color) is foaming around the mouth. I know it's not rabies because she is up to date on all of her shots. I open her mouth atop check her teeth and find this giant mass on her to tounge. Call my friend and get him to look at her this morning..... It's f'n cancer!! He tells me the treatment will cost 2k plus and probably only buy her a month or two. Other wise she will be gone within a week or two.

We have had these dogs since college Laney was my wife's and Zinn was mine.

WTF..
The truck s*** I can deal with but my dogs!
Who the he'll did I piss off!

Damnit man. So sorry. It sucks when animals get sick.

Damn dude, I really hate to hear that. One of mine had to have really invasive surgery a couple years ago and it was touch and go for a while afterwards. I knew I loved my dogs, but never figured it'd be that hard to deal with stuff like that. Definitely be keeping you guys in thoughts and prayers.

I just figured out what happens (with the truck)

After installing the new water pump thought I was rounding home.
Went to put the fan clutch on and bang. The fan bumps into the pulley of the supercharger. WTF (I thought to my self) I went inside and started to search. I found that there is a spacer that goes between the pulley and fan clutch. The spacer comes with longer studs as part of the S/C kit. It moves the fan out some and that is why the 1fz fan won't work it flexes forward with puts into the radiator when spaced out. The PO must have neglected to put the longer studs on the water pump causing there to be not enough threads exposed. The nuts fell off (the one studs backed out which is still puzzling).. The spacer is probably sitting on 65 some where. So I really spent 150$ to replace a perfectly good water pump only to find out I need to source longer studs and a spacer. What kind of luck do you think I'll have finding the spacer?

Could you stack washers to act like a spacer?

posted with my thumbs.

tough times seem to hit me with kind of a three strike rule...if something bad happens it seems to be in three flavors.. If something breaks and coast me $250 to fix...look out because by the time it all over I've spend $1K...and two other things have come out of the woodwork to bite me in the @$$ too.

Sorry about the animals... my dad was a vet and we always had dogs at home...3+ for most the time I lived at home, they are like family.

One of my friends at work is going through some really tough times and its very serious with unknown outcomes.

So just a reminder...if you and your family are iin good health....sit back and contemplate that and be thankful.

The older I've gotten the less patience I have on dealing with the mechanical issues on my project junk, but it sure is fun to get out there and explore stuff, even though that sounds trivial..

Sam Stewart at Lowe Toyota. He bent over backwards to help me try and source studs for my water pump.Mud discount and helps the guys at ACC.
