My name is Jason. I live in Edmonton and just picked up an HJ61 this fall. Switching over from a Series Land Rover to the TLC and a Conqueror Compact as the family travelling/overlanding/camping vehicle.
I was glad to see that there is a start to a LandCruiser group here; the Rovers have a good presence here in Edmonton so when they kick me out of the club for buying a Cruiser I will have somewhere to go.

Saw your e-mail forwarded from Bruce, glad to see you've posted up.
So far we're a pretty informal group, get together every month or so for a pub night, have had a few loosely organized day or long weekend wheeling trips. Kind of bring to the table what you will.
The "club" started a little less than a year ago when we got this corner of mud set up, and I PMed all the Edmonton area guys I could find on mud. Nowhere near as organized or big as the RMLCA at this point. I think I've seen about 15 different faces show up at the pub so far.
I am Scott from Cold Lake. Just picked up a 91 RHD 80 Series - its been over from Japan for 6 months before that. It was truly shocked by the brutal cold last week, but runs like a top with the inline heater installed.
Other than the front bumper, this machine is stock - but not for long....
hello everyone..
My Name is Derek . My girlfriend and I picked up a 92 RHD Cruiser a few months ago. I searched for months to find a really nice example and was lucky enough to come across one locally.
We are currently outfitting it for expedition and take it out of town regularly. Its her daily driver, so i only really get to drive it on the weekend. LOL
We are avid outdoors people and also Geocache.
I used to have a 2006 TJ Rubcon Unlimited and lusted for a LandCruiser after my friend picked up one a few years ago.
Hope to see you all around !
My name is Ben. I live up between DeBolt and Valleyview. New to MUD and looking forward to learning from you guys. I've owned a couple Toyota pickups, and 1989 BJ-73 (awesome truck, but geared to low for daily driver) and now I've been fortunate enough to pick up a 1992 HDJ81. It's in awesome shape and I am having a hard time driving it for fear of harming it. But I'm sure I'll get over it eventually
My name is Kevin, I live in Edmonton and I drive a white 1987 BJ74. I am currently taking electrical engineering and the University of Alberta. I am originally from Red Deer but i move to Edmonton last year.
My name is Dean.I haven't been among the cruiserheads for awhile but couldn't take it anymore. I have owned 4 FJ-40's, 3 minis of various years , three 4runners and now after a three year lay-off I own an 85 BJ-70. I am exited to get into things, so next event or wing night I will be there.Look forward to an Edmonton club.
My name is Trenton and I live on the Southside of Edmonton. I bought my 1988 FJ62 two years ago. I've sunk a fair amount of $$$ into it just to keep it on the road. I try and do as much of the standard mechanic stuff myself and I really value Ih8mud. The service manual was the best investment I've ever made.
The Land Bruiser (as my rig is known) is brutal on gas, rusting at the edges, a little banged up and has a so-so interior.
My name is Steve. I live in Sylvan Lake. Been looking for a cruiser for years and finally bought a 1978 BJ40 a few months ago. I do cased hole wireline and spring breakup is coming fast so hopefully there should be lots of time to get the old girl out. Just trying to get all ready as I still need to add a few things like bumper/winch and spare tire. It is a little harder to find a 24v winch then I thought!
Is anyone planning to go to the Safari Pack run in April? I have never been but seems like a good place to test out the Cruiser.
Hey hey... I'm Nathan from Calgary. Lurked on the site for a long time, finally registered when the FJ Cruiser was coming to market. Had a few harsh words back then about it but I've grown a little since
So I've been into the mini truck side of things since 98. Got an 81 Toyota that's stock and a 07 Tacoma that's stock as well.
I thought I'd stop lurking and post something!
I started a little group called CT4WD that is very adamant regarding ethical and responsible 4WD'ing in our backcountry.
Hope to meet some of you... and some I've met already!
