That's great. Tell him to stop by and come to the cook out too.

Hi everyone. I bought my first LC a couple of months back...an '84 FJ60 from a guy in West Ashley. I've been tinkering ever since I got it (new Smittybilt console, new headunit and stereo wiring, new front seatbelts, etc.) and I'm loving every minute of it. Definitely looking forward to meet some fellow LC owners.

On another note, I've just ordered the parts to do my first knuckle rebuild (it seems to be an initiation for LC owners) and will be digging in soon. If anyone in Charleston likes to trade advice/help for pizza and beer, let me know.

Welcome. That cruiser looks really familiar. Was the previous owners name, Eddie, or something like that?

That's right, the PO's name is Ed. When he put it up for sale, he posted it with Glen over at Lextech, so I found it through him.

I'd love to make the cookout, but I've got a wedding to attend on the 17th. Thanks for the invite though. Will definitely make it out to the next one.

so you chase redfish too....or is that NOT a Hewes boat in your name? :)

if you change name it is going from around 4pm until......will be around fire pit in back yard sipping a beer or two for few hours if you change your mind.

I wouldn't mind tagging along on that adventure. That's on my to do list as soon as I can save up enough allowance money

it is a messy job even if you have the use of your buddys parts cleaning station....have a bulk of shop rags and plenty of cleaning fluid, gasoline or whatever you use to cut the grease and get the parts clean again.

Brock, you got the reference right. Hewes Bayfisher '16 is my other toy. Definitely chase redfish which makes this time of year my absolute favorite. We'll see how late the wedding takes me and I'll swing by if its not too late.

FJMoses, I'll let you know when I dig in. It will be a weekend shortly after Thanksgiving.

BBQBoy has a SCOUT and claims to be a world class redfisherman...but he talks a lot of s*** so who knows. LOL :)

I was hoping to get a Shipoke this year but will wait until Spring to get something...might even be a used Hewes or that Bulls Bay by Pioneer they got out. :)

No, that's a world class lady killer. My Scout won't draft as shallow as the Hewes. When I really want to chase the Reds, I use my buddies Hells Bay.

you have two friends? dang, never would have thought it.

sorry for hijacking your thread..but get used to it...happens all the time around here. :)

Yep, and I don't consider you one of them.

Finally got it muddy today. Actually ended up towing someone out on the trail i was on. I figure I should put together a 'get unstuck' kit for myself now.

Picture didn't come out too well, but I finally uploaded a picture of my ride
