Did you say that you are able to make the Wintery Mix? I reckon that we won't be able to do anything Thanksgiving weekend… Perhaps the weekend afterwards, but if not, I look forward to meeting you at the Wintery Mix :-)

Yeah we are planning on it....but I just saw a tear that has started on my driver side inner CV boot (got to love CV's...). I figured this would happen after lifting the FJC and they are the original CV axles and boots and have 135k on them. I'm thinking of just replacing the left and right. I have never done this though I've looked it up and it doesn't look too bad. I may just give Lowcountry a call and see if they can take care of it before the mix. They have done some chopping and welding (body mount chop and pinch weld) for me to address my rubbing, been pleased so far. Anyone have experience replacing CV's anyone want to help me swap both? Don't have the tools and never done it.

Try Glen @LexTech. He'll have the tools and he's not bad on pricing.

Unfortunately, I don't have any CV experience and my Aussie Locker experience I still under review.

Thanks EricSC, I will def call glen as well. Pretty sure it won't be a problem to find replacement CV's but just hope someone can fit me in before the mix.

Update: Called Lowcountry at 9am when they opened to get a quote for a replacement CV axle (he said nobody really does boot replacements anymore they just replace the axle......???). From what I know both are def valid options just depends on if you have been torn and exposed for too long and if you have thrown all your grease, right???
Still haven't heard back from them yet on the quote for the axle....? Lol.

Since then I have already been to Glenn and I'm back home now....he replaced the driver side inner boot, checked all other boots, my lift, secured a cable, cleared some codes I was throwing made sure they weren't thrown again. Out the door less than his quote at $380 and in the nick of time! Glenn and LexTech FTW! Just sayin....

Should be ready to rock as long as I don't have anything else that needs to be addressed the week prior!!! SMH
