In the course of searching for a 4" SUA lfit for my 60 I've evaluated the weight of my build and thought I'd share what I found out.

Toyota 4x4 Land Cruisers says the curb weight of a stock 60 is 4246 lb. Mine weighed in at 5260, devoid of people and cargo, and missing 150 lb of diesel in the tank. Total force under the front tires was 2415 lb, 2845 lb in the rear. Center of mass was almost directly between the axles (54% of the distance between them, biased toward the rear axle). So, call it 1000 lb heavier than stock - I was surprised at first until I started adding everything up.

Up front is a 1HZ, dual batteries, ARB and winch. Out back is a 4x4 Labs rear bumper with dual swingouts (tire and tripple jerry can) and a 38 gal extended range tank. In the middle are 4+ sliders and custom skid plates. It makes sense when looking at the weight of the components but I certainly didn't think I'd be adding 1000 lb to my truck when I started bolting everything on. As best as I can tell the 1HZ adds 250 lb up front over the weight of the 2F.

Still looking for the lift.

Wow. Dragging around 1/2 ton of extra bolt-on weight forever is literally a drag. I'm unhappy when my 125 lb winch and extra battery gets bolted to the truck for a trip.

Those sliders I bet weigh a lot.
Unless you're regularly grinding on them, can they be unbolted?

Yeah, the 4+ Sliders can be. Probably should do that, spoiled with my mpg's so a bit lazy I guess, but good point!

My 60 weights 6K with full fuel and two adults on board. Not including food/gear for a trip. All that steel and crap adds up.

Steel is real...
Heavy.

These things are lightweights compared to 80 series. My 80 is a fat pig, but wheels pretty good for a fat pig.

What is your suspension/tire setup?

OME Heavy/heavy. 35" BFG. 1.5" bodylift. Front inner fender cut. Not a lot of flex, but it meets my needs.
