Hello all,
My 2F came with a Weber 32/36 DGAV. While I plan on replacing it before wheeling it, I'd like to use it to get my vehicle on the road.

Here's my problem... I was cleaning the carb (cleaner and a tooth brush) and at some point, two pieces of plastic fell out (see photo below). According to the parts diagram I have, they're called a plate and a plug. Any idea where they go?
I assume somewhere around the choke plate linkage??

I ordered a rebuild manual but it will take a few days to get here.

Thanks!

IIRC if you tipped it upside down, you made a mistake. IIRC those are float parts for the carb.
good luck

Well, as I have a rebuild kit on hand, I guess I'll just wait on the manual and hope the information I need is there. Thanks for the input!

It has been a couple of months, but I think they press in under the top plate, on the choke side. I'll see if I can get an answer for you.

Thanks FireFlyr I found the location for the plug (just under the top plate as you suggested). Now to find the plate location. I'm sure it goes in the same area.

On another note: I was in the Boise Nat'l Forest in '94 as part of an Army fire crew. Got hit by retardant drops twice. I'm sure it wasn't you, but thanks a lot!! :D Well, it was much better than the exploding Ponderosa Pines and we didn't have to don the baked potato suits... What's a little pink mud anyway. Washes right off.

It wasn't me, I swear. In '94 I was flying Blackhawks for the Army. Glad they didn't kill ya! Was '94 when they rolled the CH47 over in McCall?

PS If you want the jetting #s for the 32/36 I'm running let me know. It's not a bad carb once you get it jetted.
