FJ62 water temp sender, sensor & switch

okay i'm in too deep. does someone have a schematic breaking down which is which and the location on the thermo housing. i have the FSM and it is surprising very vague.

i picked up a water temp sender unit TS8231 from JT outfitter but the box says switch. so it has spun me a loop and since i am going to be replacing one i figure maybe do them all?

I've got a 60. What you are holding looks like my temp sending unit. It's location is not in the t-stat housing. It's mounting location is in top of the head, on the US driver side back towards the firewall. Somewhat hidden if you are fully smoged, but it's there.
